He was also in NIN's infamous "Happiness In Slavery" video. Need to watch SICK, but the nail-in-penis idea makes me wince.

The dog-shit-eating scene in Pink Flamingos is the most infamous, but honestly, the thing in that movie that ALWAYS is unwatchable for me is the guy with the "singing" asshole.
Neil Diamond has some jams in his catalog. The years of cheese have made us forget.
I mean, Clapton CANNOT hold a candle to Hendrix, in spite of what his defenders say. No contest, Hendrix obliterates Clapton.
See, Life Aquatic is the one that made me give up on Anderson. Haven't bothered with anything after. Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, and Royal Tennenbaums still work for me.
Friday though…
"My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is the best rap album of the past twenty years."
His absurd campaign against used CD's in the 90's was incredibly obnoxious and entitled though.
Yeah, Gwenyth is out-of-touch in the most grating, least self-aware way possible. Those quotes Laura linked to are even more cringe-inducing than most entitled celebrity babel.
Has the AV Club ever done a Q&A based around worst date movie or worst song made out to? They should.
Anyone mention Kevin Smith? I loved his stuff as a dumb teenager, but I can't stand him now, including a lot of the stuff of his I used to love. BUT, I gotta say, I still have a soft-spot for Clerks and, to an extent, Mallrats.

For all the shit Rollins gets, he's a very funny, smart, and self-aware guy (I think he's also mellowed considerably with age).
Didn't Gaga role with the Bitter End scene long before her stardom? Kinda fits with the Amos worship you're speaking of.
Ha, I was going to mention this too. Terrible musician, surprisingly self-aware and funny in that role.
I've always been under the impression that they have an equal share of those who hate them as those who love them. It did take me a while to come around to them; even some of their best work can seem very MOR on a casual listen.
I am so Krunchy The Clown!
RE: step 1…It's funny too since if you listen to his stuff with Cash Money Click or his guest shot on Mic Geronimo's "Time To Build" (also featuring a pre-fame DMX, who I assume you're referring to), he doesn't rap with that raspy affectation. Even DMX didn't on his early, early stuff ("Born Loser"), but dude made…
In other words, just going to the Bahamas with your other rich friends doesn't have the same social appeal as getting to brag that you were at some kind of EVENT.
