I don't know, having so much potential and BLOWING it like Canibus did is hard to overlook. Trust me, I was hyped on the dude based on his 90's guest shots and even "2nd Round K.O.," but he feel off hard. It's not that he just disappointed, it's that his embarrassing lows (C True Hollywood Stories, bizarre Eminem

We got Black Messiah and We Got It From Here Thank You 4 Your Service, so anything's possible.

"You would think they'd get a world class producer with a banger, but nope"

Has any rapper sabotaged their own career as hard as Canibus? Dude was that hungry battle monster, and then shitty debut album followed by publicly burning his bridges with Clef while making ANOTHER shitty album followed by an INSANELY WTF shitty album followed by too little too late for years followed by weird army

It sampled "Grease Is The Word" too, didn't it? Plundering that 70's cheese again.

Does anyone remember when Wyclef got in the middle of it with "What's Clef" after LL called out the Fugees as "Bob Marley impostors" on "The Ripper Strikes Back"?

Canibus was the mid-late 90's cameo king and had the hype, but dude shit the bed HARD. Not just with his debut, but with his follow-up, where he blamed Wyclef for the first album sucking while making every same mistake with his second. Dude just got more and more embarrassing after that.

Blunted gets remembered for the Nappy Heads remix and Vocab remixes, all of which are classic. The rest (aside from the original Nappy Heads, which I dig)….not so much.

And nobody REALLY EVER remembers their failed comeback single from 2005, "Take It Easy." For good reason.

Man, I was a Fugees completest during that time (yup, have both Blunted On Reality and the Bootleg Versions EP), and even I passed on Pras' album.

I'm more annoyed at the implication that Lauryn was popular only because of her "otherworldly beauty" and not because, you know, she was insanely, insanely talented, which pretty much everyone and then some knew back in '96-'98.
