They alluded to the source of the Vietnamese influence in the show. In the 1970s a lot of refugees came there and began working in the shrimp industry (shrimp being big in both places).

Ah! Thanks for clarification.

Yeah, gotcha. I guess in this case "spring" means the spring season. Like how spring semesters usually start in mid-late January.

Most of the episodes are still getting pushed back after the holidays, no?

I can see no reason to watch this show, but couldn't they get poor Octavia a better wig? Or at least comb that one?

"It’s hard to believe TLC formed almost 25 years ago."

"He’s manipulative, insensitive, and self-absorbed, always places himself before everyone else, and never fails to make a bad situation worse for those around him."

Yeah. The lame excuses was the biggest disagreement I had. He seems like a solid dude, all things considered.

Two is my favorite season these days. Because I'm RAYCESS

I dunno, but apparently she's ten years older than Rider Strong, which is crazy even by the lax standards of TV casting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wik…

Both of those shows are terrible.

Rilo Kiley broke up. I'm sure Blake Sennett was available…

This was a great episode. When Top Chef is clicking on all cylinders like this it's just the most pleasant show on TV.

One of my favorite movies.

Leslie is only saved because Francis Lam and James Oseland are even more annoying. God, why can't Masters get some decent judges?

"I never would have thought a girl from a small town in Iowa would win a Top Chef challenge." Shove your fake small-town modesty, reality show contestants. Shove it far.

It was free on Amazon, too (I have Prime. I dunno if you need Prime to get it). Amazon's platform is serviceable. Bravo's is awful. I recommend Amazon.

Nice that the recapper can barely muster half a shit about the show.

Maybe it turns a profit independently, and, thus, can stay open?

My girlfriend is a fellow at the Smithsonian, and they aren't getting paid. Why is the magazine still up? Is it actually a privately-funded venture?
