Yeah, basically. I do find it interesting to see peoples knee jerk defenses to certain blind spots, though. Bring up race and rectums pucker.

See my response to the person who said the same before you.

With a dearth of important black or Hispanic or Asian characters in it. She could have made that effort And didn't. It's valid. And Copolla has certainly made more than one—including one set in Japan that somehow has no important Japanese characters.

"Lol"? Auto block.

Calling out Spielberg and Scorsese for not making more female oriented films is as valid as calling out Banks or Sofia Coppolla for not making more movies with POC leads.

Guilt, overcompensation, attempts to be "sensitive" that are sometimes misguided. A whole host of reasons, really.

"Mexican Caricature Desert"

Very true. I once read a novel titled Simon's Soul that did at least managed to capture the tension of the undergoing such an experiment. It ended up making some fairly bizarre and unexpected story choices that left the premise behind, but it was still a more memorable effort than Flatliners.

This looks stunningly uninspired, even by modern remake standards. People seem intent on wasting this premise.

Because nutty mass-shooters are generally cowards (even the suicidal ones) who don't want to pick a fight with a bunch of armed lunatics.

Settling for non-horribly is probably more efficient and a faster way to "win", as it were.

The Conjuring 2, Hush, Under the Shadow, I am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House. All from just within the past year. And I was also pretty partial to Don't Breathe's execution, if not the work entire. It's all subjective, of course, but I think the genre has been pretty healthy overall for at least the past 3

One cannot reignite that which has always burned since the world has turned!

As the newly crowned "Lordess of Spelling", or whatever her official title becomes as winner, is she allowed to decree, "Fuck the prizes, just give me the cash"? Because she ought to decree that.

There can bee only one.

Depends on what his last name is. I think Aiden is paired well with a last name that's actually a first name (Aiden Christopher, Aiden Maxwell, Aiden James), and that's doubly true if his career choice is Billionaire Industrialist Who's Secretly a Master Criminal.

This sounds rather unremarkable. If they really wanted to go for maximum comedic aggravation of people, they should play What's New Pussycat 21 times in a row.
