A remake not a sequel.

Since I may be the only one here who did see "La Totale" and before "True Lies", I can say that indeed these two movies do not even belong to the same universe.
By the way I think another Arnold movie is also a remake of a French movie: "The Running Man" (1987) reminds a lot of hte French movie "Le Prix du Danger"

I had nighmares during a full week after seeing this movie and I saw a lot of scary movies before.

No, the negative use of "Philistines" with the meaning of "stupid" is entirely Western and does not exist among Jews.

In fact the Philistines arrived after the Hebrews, they were one of the "people of the sea", the Pelest from Egyptian sources. In Hebrew/Caananite it means "invaders".
The Philistines had no written language, that's why, I think, it means "stupid and uncultured".

Indeed you do not understand what "ambitious" means in the context of a movie.

Ambitious - I don't think it means what you think it means.

I know people will freak out but I think Batman V Superman was better than Civil War. Not that it was a great movie, but I can't stand Marvel's blandness and emptiness and at least they tried to do something more ambitious.

Now he is just trolling us.
And let's be serious - he will never finish Winds of Winter and I am pretty certain he has not written a word for this book in the last 5 years.

"only someone on the Right doesn't think social conservatives and their need to police who can marry whom and legislate morality have moved far to the fringe."

They knew the ending in Lost also almost from the start.

Let's be clear - the book will never be published. GRR Martin is not even trying to write it. He does not care and had no idea how to finish the story. Since the TV show people are doing it for him - he does not even need to feel guilty.

It was the 80s.

There is absolutely no problem with a 36 year old man dating a 23 year old girl.

Classical liberalism has nothing to do with Rousseau, on the opposite, it comes from Locke, Adam Smith, Ricardo and the likes. The basic idea is that the government should be limited and not intervene in the life of citizens and the economy. So no, the government is not supposed to regulate commerce so that monopolies

No they do not.

That's what I like with leftists - when confronted to another opinion they always resort to name calling because they are absolutely unable to have a discussion with someone who does not agree with them. They are too weak and too afraid to do it.

There are local websites that provide local news. And in fact there is less and less need for them too as individuals can broadcast news themselves with no need to go by a news service.

No; You confuse libertarianism and classical liberalism. I am not a libertarian.

The usual leftist anti-liberal (in teh real meaning of the word) BS. The market is dynamic and changes all the time as new technologies come and disrupt what was before. Free and independant radios are alive and well on the net when anybody can broadcast whatever he wants. Print and local newspapers are dying like
