I just hope that this movie is not a remake of A New Hope, as ROTJ was already (Tatooine + Death Star). From the trailer we see some new young heroes meeting on a desert planet, a new Darth Vader like bad guy, a new Death Star, fights between rebels and storm troopers and Tie fighters. I really hope this is not a

Thank you, now I see the truth.

Enforcement of public morality is perfectly fine with small government - first because enforcement is one of the only things ultra-liberals (in the non-US meaning of the word) think the State should do, and then because you do not even need the State for that but civil society.
"Neoliberal" is a buzz word with no

Right-wing humour sounds exactly like left-wing humour in this regard.

Wrath of Khan is an ok movie, not a great one. And that's the only "good" Star Trek movie. The TV series are, well, not my thing - boring, preachy, unoriginal, all the things I do not like in SF (and I like SF). But I agree JJ Abrams was not the director for a Star Trek movie.

If Kristol was serious, he is stupid. But Star Wars (the originals) was black and white. it is LOTR in space basically. The good guys are good, the bad guys are evil and do evil stuff and dress in black.
The prequels look like another universe. Things are grey, the Jedis are assholes, the Republic is inept. Why the

There is a definition of conservatism, you should read Thomas Sowell, and it includes free market and small government, and for reasons imbedded in the conservatism philosophy.

I am not American, and I know that this is liberalism but we are speaking to Americans and for them "liberalism" means what we call "left", so I did not want to confuse them.
But this is also a way to describe conservatism by the way. Conservatism is economically/politically liberal.

Of course the Empire, in the classic movies, is evil. But the prequels show us a failed, stupid, corrupt galactic Republic that really deserved to fall. The Jedis are a bunch of arrogant people, they are blind to what is going under their nose, they say outrageous things, they are semi-fascists.
Another reason why we

In fact you mean socialism. Conservatism, wanting to limit the State and its power, and protect the private liberties of the citizens is not exactly known for attracting vicious people.
Conservatism is not "the GOP". The GOP is a party with many tendencies, interests, people with different ideologies, or no

A director that was the show runner of one of the best TV series ever (Alias), directed the pilot of Lost, still the best pilot ever, directed the best Mission Impossible movie, and succeeded in making a Star Trek movie enjoyable (I agree that the second one was a let down). Because, let's all agree, ST movies are

Don't understand the JJ hate. He made Alias, one of the best series of the 2000s, particularly the first two seasons when he was showrunner, he made the pilot of Lost, still to this day the best TV pilot ever. He made the best Mission Impossible movie, and he made a pretty good Star Trek movie, if Star Trek can be

You mean he is able to make good movies ? I do hope he is not James Cameron.

Ford is Jewish by his mother.

Half Jewish, his mother, so in fact 100% Jewish, as far as I know.

It's Karaite, not Karalite. They used to be up to 10% of Jews a thousand years ago, now they are some 15,000, almost all of them in Israel.

Robb Stark was never a main character. Of course in the book it was even more obvious since he was not even a POV character but even in the TV show he never was very important.

Because the show does not kill its main characters at random, Tyrion, Danaeris, Jon Snow, and probably Aria and Sansa are assured to live until the end.
And Jon is obviously not dead because - we still do not know who his mother was and it is a big deal (of course we all know that this is R+L=J, and yes it is a big

I can't see a reboot, a prequel or a sequel to Lost. What they can do and have been doing since day one is trying to copy Lost. Lately they are doing it even more bluntly (like the opening of Wayward Pines). But I do not believe there will ever be a Lost reboot.

What I don't understand is why not stopping crimes when there is no minority report - here you are sure that the crime will be committed, and do nothing or be in stand-by for predictions with a minority report. That way you still reduce crimes and do not arrest people for crimes they would not have committed.
