I really liked that this didn't end with Peralta saving the day again. That formula was getting a bit tired, and this gives the season some interesting momentum.

It was even more noticeable considering it was like -6 degrees in New York today. Although at least they're not wearing shorts on Christmas like they do in Suburgatory.

This reminded me a little of Community's Mixology Certification. It wasn't nearly as beautifully poignant as that episode is (few episodes of television are), but just the whole "characters hanging out in a bar and revealing truths about themselves" method of storytelling. I liked it!

Doctor Who toys with that concept a lot (Moffat especially - The Beast Below is another good example of that theme), and yeah, I really like it.

But the Ponds basically got what they wanted. Sure, their lives were severely altered but what they wanted was to be together, and they got it. It's a tragic ending, but I find Donna's more tragic because she wanted to be something more than she was. The show went to great lengths to show that the life Donna was

Hey, this is the second year in a row that Bob's Burgers has kicked off the calendar year with an episode about Louie and Linda's relationship. This episode was no Mother Daughter Laser Razor, but it was still a lot of fun.

The lack of screener for this one worries me a bit. It looks fun though!

Happy Birthday Stephen! Unless it's not your birthday, then NEVERMIND I GUESS.

Yeah, it's dead already. Let's just move now! Happier episode reviews are waiting for us!

It seems like keeping the amount of time ambiguous was intentional. But yeah, I can't imagine the study group would drift apart so quickly, and we know that at least some of them were keeping in touch (Abed helped Jeff with his commercial, and Troy/Abed/Annie still live together). That was really the only thing that

She mentioned in Repilot that Abed hadn't been paying his share of the rent, so I'm guessing they all still live together.

Yeah, I really wish Community was on Netflix. The difference in popularity between shows that are on Netflix and shows that aren't is sort of astounding.

It was really nice seeing the apartment with Season 1/2-esque cinematography.

So are we moving to the new review tomorrow? It's died down quite a bit.

Alison Brie's delivery on SLIGHTLY HIGHER GRAAADES was so good.

I still can't get over the fact that "real" Community didn't end with Introduction to Finality. I had long accepted that the show I fell in love with was done, so the fact that we're getting at least 11 more episodes of it is still wrinkling my brain.

Last seasons' timeline really made no sense at all. Jeff apparently graduated early even though there were like 3 episodes after the Christmas episode - all of which showed Jeff in class. It kind of annoyed me.

Yes. This is also why I love New Girl, although that show is not quite as consistently good at that concept. But I just really like shows that are honest about their characters.

I'm not saying that the end of Season 3 was perfect (I had a lot of issues for it), but I've always felt like this excuse for Season 4 was just that - an excuse. Season 4's issues ran a lot deeper than some inconvenient plot points and minor characterization flaws.

Of course, it's an ensemble sitcom - one of the best on TV. But Jeff's story has always been the center of the show.
