This episode felt like it wrapped up multiple storylines too neatly.
This episode felt like it wrapped up multiple storylines too neatly.
I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop with Mon-El and sure enough, the forced romance with Kara, which, while not unexpected and still better than her storyline with Jimmy (not a very high bar though let's be honest), is still not doing it for me. The whole "can't remember I kissed you" trope is so contrived I…
James downright pissed me off with his overstepping of Alex and her wanting to speak first at the dinner, especially considering it was such an important thing for her and his Guardian stuff just isn't - and I'm certain it wasn't meant to come across that way. It just came across as really pig headed and selfish,…
She's more shippable with Kara too, that doesn't hurt!
There's something about William's 'White Knight' complex that's irritating - I don't like Logan any better though.
Nicely said, couldn't agree more.
I definitely agree, I hope they are not using 'Olicity' as an example of what not to do, because I think that the intention of being flexible and dropping what isn't working (Laurel/Oliver and Barry/Iris and more recently, Kara/Jimmy) and going other unexpected routes based on what is organically working is a good…
If there is Snowbarry in an episode, this will get me watching! I have small admiration for the writers sticking to their guns and forcing Barry/Iris to work because "comics" (which I think is not a good enough reason) but I hope they can get it out of their system and pair up Barry with Caitlin eventually because…
I sincerely hope so. That seems like an outcome that makes sense.
I feel the same way, but I have to ignore that side of it and just focus on the writing and acting, where both are not working in my opinion. I would've been ok with him just being the CEO of CatCo and being a source of friendship for Winn and Kara but now they've just made a mess of things.
I especially hate that the James storyline is at the expense of Kara being straight up super to fit him in. I get Supergirl has her weaknesses but c'mon.
I know that Arrow and The Flash and Legends are fairly ensemble shows, but I really don't think Supergirl needs it if that's what they're going for too.
I'd be perfectly content if they just called their losses and were done with the Jimmy character.
Thank you! I will give that a try.
I had forgotten about that! I just randomly saw a tweet from Bloom saying that Rebecca is kind of into Valencia.
I can't recall if the show has explicitly mentioned Paula leaving, but my guess is that she's juggling both, perhaps part-time? Unless the show states otherwise, that's what I'm going with!
Has the show ever explicitly explored Rebecca's sexuality or has Rachel Bloom ever mentioned it? My (heteronormative) assumption is, that she could be straight given her interest in Josh and Greg so far, but perhaps not…
Describing this show and getting people on board is something I fail spectacularly at, it's really difficult!
I couldn't stop laughing at their wistful glances because I think they exaggerated it as like a nod to how rom coms do this all.the.time.
It reminds me of last season's finale, how their reunion at the wedding (?) got the traditional love story beats usually reserved for other romantic couples - except their love story is one between friends.
