I will join you in that 'great intimate platonic supportive relationship' discussion! I've said it a few times here, I enjoy their dynamic, just in a very platonic way.
I'm just relieved they didn't bait even further, and most of the Polis scenes with Clarke were appropriately given to Abby.
*watching that show, waiting impatiently for her inner Lexa to come out*
Lexa's reappearance, plus Raven's hacking moment, plus Abby getting Clarke into the City of Light in the first place and subsequently protecting her, plus Becca for just simply being not ALIE, plus Octavia finally sticking it to Pike and peacing out on Bellamy, plus Clarke just for being Clarke and once again being…
I found that ending a bit jarring, in the sense that I thought there would be more or they would choose something else to end on. I thought it was an odd choice to end the season with that, especially since the lingering shots were on Bellamy's face - which I found a little hilarious, I mean what did he expect?
That was some solid fight choreography, this is exactly how I, and I think many people, wanted to see Lexa go out - war paint on, two swords in hand and slaying. I also knew she was going to appear months ago but that didn't dampen my unbridled joy at seeing her again - this show is really going to miss her presence.
You can count on it.
It's why I'm cutting her some slack, I know she has the potential to be a badass.
Alicia's a dipshit but she's learning fast and I think has the ability to show some growth - Chris on the other hand can just die already.
This guy is the worst actor ever, it's like he has permanent derp face on and he's not translating whatever is going on with his character well at all - least interesting character, I hope he doesn't survive this season.
Was that rains of castermere playing during the small council scene with Cersei and Olenna? It sounded familiar…
Queen of the North, I am dying to see this happen.
Yeah you're right, phrasing! 'Her people' is more appropriate. I think I meant greater good because everyone seems to be chipped.
Let's agree that Clarke is just a badass willing to sacrifice people she loves for the greater good!
This is true, the time line is so messed up! But I'd argue Clarke never loved Finn in that way and just said that before he died because it was all she could give him to put him at peace. Opinions will differ on this though! She did indeed kiss Lexa not long after, however she also said 'not yet', she wasn't ready…
We'll have to agree to disagree about the weakness thing but it is interesting to hear another interpretation. To me, the show's narrative has demonstrated that Clarke's relationship with her mother is much stronger than hers with Bellamy (which is still a strong one but not the same as with Abby). Abby also isn't…
This is true, the writers will write what they want and the actor commentary is just their take on things - but it's also their understanding of their character and how they portray them on screen (to a point of course, directors etc). I agree, you can definitely love more than one person at a time and I do think the…
I was just about to post a similar thing! They have a history of working together where she has relied on him so I do get it. Another interpretation could be that Clarke was just saying what he needed to hear so he would agree with her new plan and get on with it since he was adamantly against it. Perhaps there was…
It's pretty great progression to see Bellamy's relationship with Clarke change over the seasons, I always dig the dynamic where it starts antagonistic but then mutual respect and friendship slowly develops. Entirely predictable maybe but I've enjoyed watching it grow, and it's very clear Bellamy cares about Clarke…
