Stone's a Yankees fan. At the station he asked Naz to name two Yankees. He wouldn't have named his son after a Mets player. (I'm a New Yorker, proud Yankees fan….most NYers I know like either one or the other. Very, very rarely does someone like both teams).

I think season 2 would mirror season 2 of Criminal Justice, the UK original of The Night Of. Like American Crime, each season has completely different characters and no relation to the prior season. I hope it's similar.

He doesn't seem to have a family. When he got the call that night about the murder, he was alone in bed answering the phone.

What I can't get is the lie….why did he tell Freddie there were four baggies when there were clearly only three? He even got Petey to reluctantly agree. Where's that gonna go?

I couldn't help thinking of Rick Moranis in Parenthood with that song.

Literally. :)

I thought the night cop desk clerk reminded me of Pornstache. And funny about Freddie and sex with men. I still think of him as Omar.

Hey, that's a great theory and put to rest what I thought might be a flaw in continuity. Sweat during sex could've wiped away the blood on his neck from her hand. Good thinking!

I think a tiny scene was overlooked, and you hit the nail on the head about pressure. When we first meet Naz's mom in his Aunt's store, Naz tries to fold one of the garments and the other lady tells him, "Nasir, leave it alone, you're making it worse." You can see in his face that he was fed up with being looked down

Could be. Why did he ask to use the restroom at the gas station? A little meth bump in the bathroom? Otherwise what's the significance of that scene? There are enough cameras out by the pumps to not need the inside footage.

Great name for a drug dealer. There's a Duane Reade on, like, every corner of the City.

No, there was no deer head camera in the UK version.

I certainly think he's in cahoots with Freddy somehow…long time criminal and long time detective? If there's one thing I learned from the Wire, it's that these lifestyles are more intertwined than we realize. Freddy probably ends up serving as a witness for Box to testify about Naz's violence. How else do you think

Tox screen was done before he was given that inhaler.

Actually no, he cut his hand, hence his wincing and saying "Ouch!" when he reached his HAND through the glass that he shattered with his elbow in order to open the lock. Nobody opens an inside lock with their elbow. Use your head. You're no Richard Price.

Yup. The key is in where Andrea comes from before being in the cab, I feel.

It's a farce. There's no deer head in the UK version.

I don't think Gooden is his middle name. He's into sports and he's being creative on his door. Nothing more, nothing less

Check out the lyrics to Donovan's "Season of the Witch." Particularly the cat staring over his shoulder….
