You usually get only one chance to reel in the audience. The pilot did a good job, but people were underwhelmed and left when they became convinced that the series wasn't going to be a wacky puppet show like Jim Henson and Jason Segal made. Most people are trying to figure out what went wrong with this show and who's

They probably wanted something suitable for families (since that's much of the audience that left after the pilot). Also, the press release marketed the series as "a more adult Muppet show….for children of all ages."

Of course. Everyone knows who the Muppets are and what they're good at. Having them in a mockumentary setting with a " more adult" tone was….just not going to sit well with many, especially families. They brought back "Veterinarian's Hospital" and classics like Mahna Mahna, Robin and Camilla, but ratings are still

Just like Space Dandy.

It's simple: how come Wander never decided to reason with Dominator or try to pull the same tricks he does on Hater with her (interrupt her in the middle of a speech, annoy her to no end, etc….).

Well, it was a way to develop Hater's character (and create easy jokes that mirror High School love).

I don't know about a third season. Most Disney shows don't last beyond two seasons unless said show is extremely popular and profitable with it's target audience (Phineas and Ferb, of course, is the most well known example; also Kim Possible).

Well, the crew is aware of other shows that follow the format (they're in the same building as Gravity Falls). I've always felt like this season was an experiment, going through the character's motives and wants and see how they can be crushed and rise above the ashes. It's just trying to juggle the silliness and

"weakest storyline"?
Uh Oh…..that's not going to sit well……

I believe that's what the last chunk of the season will do: really dive into the storyline deeply…..or do whatever they want…..

True, but what channel do you have in mind? Disney Channel? Disney XD? Freeform (formally ABC Family)?

I know, it's really depressing, especially since some people are hoping for episodes focusing on other Muppets. It'll be a miracle if it gets renewed, but it's up to Disney if they want to invest more money in this series or just focus on the YouTube channel and public appearance (like Sunday's Disneyland celebration).

I think that plot was just a way to mime for jokes, so there wasn't anything going for it in the long run.

Yeah, we lost creepy Denise but was it worth it?
To most people, yeah. I mean, the saddest thing about her was her lack of development with a few glimpses here and there. People want the status quo…….the frog and the pig must unite!

There prisoners because folks just want Jim Henson and friends back. That's the one thing that won't change (or get Jason Segal to return, but I doubt that the man has time for this).

From what I've read, it really feels like this show WAS rushed, so it would probably never find it's footing unless it receives a second season……

You forgot to mention Caffrey, that the episode was directed by puppeteer Bill Barretta (Pepe the King Prawn, Bobo the Bear, Big Mean Carl, Rowlf, The Swedish Chef, etc…..).

That's another problem: people out there HATE Disney's take on the characters because they're too safe and don't have the creative spark of old.
