I think his opening scene ("I use Linux too") put him halfway between poles. Then his reaction when Elliot declined his job offer, showed his true nature. His wife is the strong, calculated one.

Although I noticed they do update these things as they go. Frankie Shaw was initially down for less episodes than that; it's not always a reliable guide. But yeah, it'd be nice to have a way to… not. I like to look up the cast and see what they've done, so it's my fault in some ways.
Mr Robot does seem to be fading into the background. He started off as enigmatic and a "presence". It didn't really matter so much whether he was real or not while that was happening. The last two episodes though, he's just faded away.
I'm still enjoying the show but it does borrow a lot. My worry is that the last couple of episodes had a slight "story of the week" aspect and it was too early to do that. Still some good stuff, but I'm wary of the creator saying he's got an ending in mind "in 4 or 5 seasons time". Of course, he might have the whole…
Hmm. And it has Silver… but I do think it's the one where the effects and concept are most of their time. Unfortunately, face-photograph-children's ideas have been recycled in Doctor Who and in films now so that, yeah, it's probably much more familiar seeming than at the time. (The "…but you've seen my face, why…
2, 4 and 6 surely? Face-photograph-children rather than future-meat-apartment.
Well, that's quite a good high point to have! And an opportunity to show off his excellent whistling skills.
Ah, I see. Well, perhaps the… transient beings got to him…
Yeah, it's not really sci-fi so I can imagine the rolling of eyes if that was his thing - it's more something like ghost-story or fantasy-myth but with a sort of weirdly specific philosophy. Like the fire in Plato's Cave's started burning through into everyday reality…
I think that worked so well (I mean, as a concept not always in a low-budget limitation way). It was like… what would this be like if it really happened?
He also did a version of Whistle and I'll Come to You, so he knows his ghost stories.
No, it was very popular at the time ("the audience figures were unusually high for a science fiction series"). The creator and writer, PJ Hammond, was very well-respected and the leads had star power. It never continued in part due to ATV's franchise problems in the early 1980s; even its tiny budget allocation was…
Your uncle was Private Pierce? Nice.
I'd stopped Dexter before it got to that, and hadn't heard to the twist. Really you just can't do that again - unless you have a super-special extra bit that goes on top. And you cannot sustain this idea for more than 10 episodes.
He is Jack's cliched narrative device.
Particularly now that episode 3 has aired, yes.
Just you. And everyone else who's seen Fight Club. ;-)
They were at the opposite end of the truck, protected by a stack of bags-of-stuff. Not that I realised that first time.
Agreed. Tyrell is a… practical man.
Yeah, I think the debugging metaphor is more (can be viewed as) a part of Elliot's clunky mind.
