I'm hoping for an update of the old Jorvis they used to sell at the now-defunct Montgomery Ward.

So that's why Trump called it his favorite movie!

Gilbert did his best to dig his starting hole even deeper with a joke about how he was almost late because his flight into town had a stopover at the Empire State Building. But still, if he's done it on Sept. 10, with that crowd, following a couple of other tasteless jokes that bombed, I think he'd still have gotten

Gilbert Gottfried on any roast. Particularly at the Hugh Hefner roast when he did "The Aristocrats".

    Tyrants, they be purgin!

Agreed. She should have James Corden's gig right now.

Just saw elsewhere at AVClub that John Lithgow intentionally tanked his Joker audition for Tim Burton, which is just as well. Though 1989 James woods would have been a good choice as well as being a harbinger of what 2017 James Woods would eventually become.

Well, if Nicholson was 100% ham and 0% scary, and Elfman would have been 90% scary and only 10% ham, Curry would have found a good 50/50 split.

    Max?

I want to travel to the alternate dimension where Elfman played the Joker in Burton's Batman instead of Jack Nicholson..

Elfman has been experimenting ever since he started making music. Just compare the first and last Oingo Boingo albums and you wouldn't believe it's the same band. And yes, his Burton collaborations do have a sameness about them, they still fit Burton's style, but the rest of his scores are all over the place.

And isn't it really nice of the factory to fire them right before Ramadan so they don't have to worry about the burden of employment during their holy month? That wouldn't cause any percolating anger to creep into their prayers, would it?

As I've said before, she converted from pretending to be Christian to pretending to be Jewish, when we really know the only think she worships is the dollar, just like her father raised her.

It's attached to that other thing you probably can't find.

I didn't find her bland at all. She's supposed to have issues (many, many issues) as a result of her upbringing, leaving her uptight yet meek, which is the root of the show.

I think the cast is fine, especially the lead. They need to tone down Andrea Martin's character a few notches though.

Legally I think the one who is awake is required to attempt the wake the sleeping person, preferably in front of witnesses.

    Karl and Keith?

That he doesn't exist and we're on our own.

But don't those obstruction tactics require the Democrats having control of the senate? The GOP is ready to get rid of the filibuster now just to pass their health care bill. If Pence came into power today the GOP would line up right behind him.
