Slow vs fast can be misconstrued as character driven vs. plot driven. BB was very much a plot-driven show. There were significant jolts to the story that changed a lot. Mad Men throws some plot into the season finales but it's largely about the characters.

It has no right to be this good. Spin-offs are supposed to be a blatant money grab. How did they make this soooooo good?

You mean the Temple, right? Yeah…

So true. The back half of season 3 through season 5 was the most captivating stretch of television for me. LOST was designed to get people talking about it and musing on the Internet. That's what I'll always miss about LOST - the communities it formed to discuss it. I loved the theorizing.

It was such an an amazing opening sequence. LOST shifted perspectives so well throughout the course of the show to give new insight.

nope

That's not a Ron Swanson giggle. That's an honest-to-god Nick Offerman giggle. What are the odds that two best real life laughs would be on the same show?

On CBB this week, Mulaney's George St. Geegland character begged the audience to visit his twitter page… but casually asked them to not Google "Mulaney."

No worries. I'm a Packers fan living in Dallas (originally from Wisconsin) so this has been a fun week. I'm hoping for a week of gloating next week.

I was only pointing out what the league apologized for. If the PI had never been called in the first place, there would 90% less outrage. It's the retraction that's baffling.

The league said the PI was debatable and could have gone either way. But there was at least a hold that should have been called on the DB (I forget his name). Still a penalty on the play. Penalizing Dez would also have been a judgment call and not a mandatory penalty.

YOU GOTTA LAUGH. That episode needed to be top 5. From what Scott said, the Calvin Twins was perhaps the most improvised of all. They didn't even have an idea when they walked in the room.

Sweet incorporation of True Lies in there. Well done, Internet.

Aukerman has said that most of the guests are only on set for a couple of hours (hence his very decent guest list). Weird Al was an exception from the recent episode as he filmed for TWO WHOLE DAYS. I'm betting that they film about 2 per week. I'm sure half of the time is just writing and figuring out the central

It appears the judges are really in love with Gregory who probably should have gone home last night. It's like he's indestructible.

Not killing either of them in the end was a bad move and so typical. "We couldn't possibly kill a Hollywood actor in our little TV show!"

At least they didn't put The Leftovers #1 like someone's list who I won't name.

A network show #1? DOES NOT COMPUTE. Network TV is a dead medium.

I agree. LWT could be considered ineligible or something since it's not a narrative show. But whatever. It was just so good.

Ahh, I forgot about Transparent. I watched it and it was good. I'd probably have it around 15th or so which isn't a knock against it. It's just a strong year with SO MUCH TV.
