It's just flawed on so many levels and NOT because it didn't provide 'answers.' that's a cop-out. It was dull and the characters were not acting appropriately to how they have been written. The exception was Sawyer who was spot-on last night.

Yummsh, here's a hint for the post 815 landing scenes: Life has a funny way of course correcting. You have already seen many of the things in these flash-sideways from seasons 1-3. It is very intentional - just not surprising. Post merger, I have no clue what happens.

Well, in case you haven't noticed, the episodes are following the same order of centricity as Season 1.

I originally thought the Black Rock would have turned up last season when the Island was jumping through time. But now it looks to have a much bigger part in the story. End game kind of stuff. Especially since there is a 90% chance Richard was on the Black Rock.

Also, we're more likely to get doubled up on a Jack or Locke episode given how they are probably the most important characters in terms of the mythology.

You forgot Desmond and or Richard. Without spoiling, I know the next 9 titles and character centricities (made that word up, I think). That leaves 4 episodes before the finale. For the record, I don't know any other spoilers, I just like to look ahead at titles and who the episode is centered on.

Oh, I agree with all that. But there is so much hand-waving this season that is based on "because it's their destiny/fate" without any further discussion. I really want more.

You should watch next week. It's a Locke-centric episode and looks to be a VERY strong outing. Although after this week, all the characters could sit around a fire singing cowboy songs and it would be better.

I agree about Miles. The fact that he outlived Charlotte and Faraday means he must be pretty damn important. And not just to talk to the occasional corpse. Life and Death are temporary states on this show depending on your perspective and Miles is a crucial link there.

If you didn't see Ethan coming in as her doctor from a mile away, you must not be watching the show very closely.

During the time travel stuff, people thought the couple in LA was going to be Kate and Jack. Kind of glad it turned out to be mundane. But jeez, couldn't you have CALLED? It's a 16 hour flight from Sydney. Cripes.

The Sawyer-Kate scene on the pier was really the bright spot of the night. I am anti-shipper but if we remember that Juliet and Sawyer spent THREE happy years together, we arrive at a true sense of emotion. They are the only two characters who have actually had a good relationship on the show.

The "claimed" line irritated me to no end. "There is no direct translation." Bunch of crap. Claimed by whom or what? What does claimed mean? Possession? I refuse to believe this is a "big" mystery of LOST and as such, holding onto it like the holy grail of answers right now seems sadistic.

boring at best, predictable at worst
I guess 18 hours was too much for the final season. Yikes. I'm putting this in the bottom 10 of LOST episodes ever. Not because it wasn't myth-heavy. Sideways world was completely predictable. There was no wow moment when Ethan showed up. I EXPECTED him to be Claire's doctor. I

Yah, I really don't think this crew will stand out that much. There was talk of a "fish out of water" season where they dropped them in the Hamptons. But South Beach should be easy for assimilation. Ton of clubs with people just like them.

Lone, that's how it SHOULD work but that's not how they've presented it or how it's been discussed by the showrunners. Two and only two.

That's a pretty good summation. I believe the Fringe writers have gone out of their way to say that there will only be two universes. The weird part is how similar they are. I'm not a multiverse expert but it seems both versions of yourself live in the same apartment but 9/11 affected the White House instead of the

I'm actually not wild about it either. Yet. My problem is that I don't have the same level of caring about both. I'm about 70/30 in favor of the Island story right now. Until they show me HOW they are connected, that will be the case. We need the season 6 equivalent of "We have to go back, Kate!"

Fringe absolutely needs an end date. My wish would be for 3 more seasons of 15 episodes each. Kind of like what LOST negotiated with ABC. I know networks like the stand alones for rerun purposes but Fringe could still manage that with 15 a year. Or a hint of mythology in a stand alone episode. But right now, they

You really think that's the best case scenario? Yikes. It does about as well as the new Human Target when Fringe isn't in the hyper competitive Thursday 9pm slot. If Fringe were to be canceled it would definitely be a result of weird scheduling. World Series moving around. Extra old episode on a different night.
