What's interesting here is that Calvin (Sutherland) is actually the "main" character in the classical protagonist sense, despite having the smallest role of the three.

He doesn't re-visit them… except for the multiple times per year he performs them in concert?

The first two movies are bad.
Azkaban and the final 3 are good.
I marvel at your love for Goblet of Fire. Great plot (obviously), but pretty haphazardly directed.

I was so so hoping you were going to choose Season 4. It is also the best in my mind. It features the all-time best "video game Jack" episode in the prison breakout. (Doesn't the secretary of defense also don a Rambo headband and an AK-47 in that one? Amazing).

Jesus, stop with the remakes. Jerry O'Connell gotta eat, I guess.

Will someone please share on the Gaffigans' facebook walls that annoying link about carbon footprints and how terrible for the world having an extra kid is?

Of course not. She'll never be forgiven for the Sarah Connor Chronicles.

When it became clear that it was either the favorite or in a dead-heat to WIN best picture, something literally broke inside of me. I realized

Or Christian Bale. Or George Clooney.

"whereas DC movies like Man Of Steel and the upcoming Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice, are, for better or for worse, distinctive." … would you give me your glorious time machine, AV Club, so I can tell myself not to click on this article?

I only wish Rian Johnson was directing both Episodes 8 and 9. Colin Trevoreally gets the reins for the final installment.

Geeky nitpick —- I think it's pretty clear that in the movie It must teleport to a somewhat-remote distance from you and then begin walking from there. Not enough time passed for some of its treks if they were pure walking.

Everybody, please stop using the term "master class." - Everybody else.

Wow. Am I the only one who thinks Cabin has no business being on this list? It was cute, but too clever by-half, and more of an idea than a movie.

Is he also going to go undercover as a good actor?
