It really is in the eye of beholder. I think Groff and Tovey together are electric. And intensely private Groff wouldn't talk about his crush on straight taken man if it was real crush.

You know, I don't think he should discuss such an intimate things as his ex's bottom shame and food issues with his new partner. That's the only thing that bugged me about Richie. Otherwise, he has a right to be judgemental about Patrick and Kevin.
I personally LOVED this imperfect Richie, exposing Patrick's bottom shame and weight issues to his current boyfriend, while being forgiving and nice with Patrick himself. It's so human and such a deep insight into his emotions about Patrick. I really loved it.
Yeah, l agree with that.
Oh, absolutely. I actually work with eye witnesses, and it's shocking, because sometimes whole life and experience can define person's perception. For example, in wedding episode I think Richie was wrong, because I can totally relate to Patrick's social panic about introducing your partner to your family. And it's one…
He was talking about TV representation.
I can relate to this so much.
What will change if you'll know that John is the one who broke up with Kevin? I think Kevin wanted it that way, that's why he went to Patrick's party with John.
Oh, I watched them so many times, it's embarassing. I think first season is perfection. As for break up, I always felt like Patrick was rejected in this situation. Not only in the end of the episode, but in the beginning as well. But I agree, most likely Richie wanted to hear something from him. to make him change his…
I think we should agree to disagree then. I saw this scene differently, but you might be right.
I don't think so. It's possible that John broke up with Kevin, because Kevin is rather weak, but I don't see him as wanting to be back with John AT ALL.
It's possible, I actually think it's most likely, because Kevin is rather weak man and was incapable of ending his relationship. But nothing in his attitudes indicates Patrick is just a concolation prize after losing John.
I think it's different interretations, but I didn't see it that way at all. It all sounded final from Richie, like statements, not questions. And Richie himself never said he loved him, he said he was this close from falling in love.
It seems to me he has deepest feelings for Patrick for whatever reasons, and just incapable of erasing him from his life.
No, it's not what happened. He said "I am not going to do it to myself (fall in love) if you are not ready. And I don't think you are ready".
But that's the point - he obviously didn't want to leave him. He left to save himself from the pain - but last episode showed that he is still in great pain. So what was the point?
I don't get this comment at all. You have to look certain way to make statements about stereotypes in the community?
Exactly.
He also slept with Kevin when he thought Richie dumped him. It was wrong thing to do, but he genuinely thought that way.
We also don't really know Brady. It's like people talking about how John is so perfect comparing to Patrick. Uhm, he had thre minutes whole season, of course he looks perfect next to Patrick who is explored under the microscope.
