She wanted Kevan to be it, right?

Have you been paying attention at all? Not getting what you deserve is Game of Throne's motto.

I can't get over how they use spears in that narrow-ass city. Get some short swords, jesus.

Except Benjen Stark of course.

Can't recall. Although that sword was sort of stuck in it there, wasn't it? It's probably softer than real steel.

I think they might both be dead. It will make Dany's unmoored storyline more unmoory

It's made of gold, I thought. Steel should slice right through it.

I'm curious what you think is so bad. I've been disappointed in a few of the changes myself, but for the most part I think their style of changes isn't to differentiate themselves from the book so much as to keep everything interesting for everyone given the nature of television.

My only doubts about Stoneheart not appearing are the constant reminders of the story elements that are pretty much exclusive to her reveal in the books. Why was Baeric Dondarrion in the show? Why was Thoros of Myr mentioned again here for no reason? Why are we keeping Brienne and Pod around? So much stuff here would

As far as I know, Thoros remains in Westeros with Stoneheart in the book. I took the mention as either fucking with us about a Stoneheart appearance or further foreshadowing that she might still appear.

I think it's more of a "avoid being slavish to the books" move than spitting in the face of book readers. They've been very clear that the show is a separate entity than the books. As we get further into this season I think we will see less and less similarities between the two.

WHY DO THEY KEEP MENTIONING THOROS OF MYR AND THE GREYSCALE SHIT IF THEY AREN'T DOING EITHER AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

As far as I know, the only thing not confirming Stoneheart at this point is no casting murmurs about Fairley. It's fairly difficult to keep secret casting like that, especially from the internet spoiler machine. But I really hope they do it.

It'll be worth it when the shit goes down in the stadium later on. Say, episode 9. Also, although she's certainly not as popular on here and other websites, Dany is still among the most popular characters in the show for the general viewer. There's a reason the term Khalessi has caught on in the general public lexicon.

And they had the scene last season where Qyburn said he would "see what he could do" about saving the Mountain from the poision.

Hopefully it's building to the Cleganebowl. The ambiguous "deaths" of both Cleganes has me hoping.

No comment on the Qyburn thing with the head? I think we can safely say Zombie-Mountain is confirmed. Can't wait to see how they handle that.

I think Martin has finally seen the writing on the wall after it was announced this season would pass the books. He ducked out of several conventions and elected not to write an episode this season. Hopefully he's busy at home pumping away on TWOW. I don't know though, maybe I'm naive like you.

I agree.

Did anyone else get a Lost flashback at that Cersei flashback? Also, Maggy the Frog is a little bit more attractive than I thought she would be.
