Since it's currently being developed into a movie, that would probably confuse a few people. Including the rights holders.

What's the etiquette for the live chat? Experts? Newbies? I don't want to get yelled at again.

We're not talking about your penis.

There's too much pedant in this thread.

Calling jokes tired is getting so tired.

Jesus, when will this guy stop eating and shitting and get back to writing his FUCKING BOOK!?!?!?!?!!?

Well, spoiler for book 3, but that phrase actually refers to the fact that the Wall is literally magical. Coldhands (cut from the show) explains this to Sam. Not sure how they are going to squeeze it in now.

Estonia?

I've never seen this movie and I probably won't.

Not sure if it's just women, but yes. You have to remember who we have left for women characters on this show: Arya, Sansa, Breinne and Cersei. The internet adores Arya, and they just started to like Sansa who they hated for a long time. They've always hated Cersei. I don't really hear either way with Breinne and I

It's even worse that Todd took the whole A-level episode down to a B over it.

I have faith in them. They didn't pull any punches at the Red Wedding or with Oberyn (in fact one could argue they amped up the gruesomeness) and so I think they will make it properly affecting. That, combined with fried children bones, Arya leaving the Hound, Stannis going Mannis on Mance, and Daddy Blonde shitting

No, he's not dead. Sam said he was out of commission, but that just means he couldn't command anymore. There's no way he's dead with what happens next season.

The only thing I'm worried about is how they are going to maintain the rollercoaster of emotions. We'll just have to see.

Oh, sorry, Mr. Baby Murderer. My bad.

What does "false" even mean here. Are you saying that no, in fact no one cares about Ygritte? Because you're wrong about that. Big time.

No, it wasn't. Someone on reddit mentioned that it might have been a nod to the Blackwater chain the show had to cut out for budgetary reasons.

I know a fair number of people who love Ygritte and would fight you on that point, although I personally agree. But even in the books I didn't like her that much. Doesn't mean she isn't compelling, though.

But with everything else going on in the finale, I think Stannis will be the only good thing to happen that won't crush us. I think they'll lead in with that, and then cut us down after lifting us up. A la Mountain v. Viper.
