There are valid points in those complaints, though. A shit ton of critically lauded genre stuff is just not good. The problem is with outsiders looking in on the genres and not being able to see the nuances that happen in the background.

This is oddly what keeps me from doing a full conversion to the nook. I have reverence for the physicalness of a book. I love just spending time flipping through my collection. I cant flip through an ebook.
