On reflection I could see, now, wondering if maybe Delphine expressed some desire to have a child "someday" and that that brought it to her mind. If she had a brief statement like "Delphine's hinted that she might want kids, but you saw me with the baby" would that have maybe made it work for you? I do sort-of see

I did wonder if someone would complain about that. I did half think she might add "and should I even care if I don't?" (Granted they also didn't have someone go "Um do you even have to worry about this? Other than Sarah and Helena we're all sterile and well Delphine wouldn't exactly get you pregnant anyway.")

Hm that part might actually be happening though.

I kind of think this, which is kind of oddly comforting. Like maybe the Russians don't really own him because he is a selfish jerk who doesn't have that kind of loyalty or gratitude even if he expects it of others.

Understood.

I think I realized later we don't even know for sure if that's her personality. The weird hair could have been a phase or like what Allison did. Or even a mediocre attempt at disguise.

Tomas turns out to be just one of several Slavic/Orthodox Proletheans. After the incident in the Canadian barn the Eastern-Orthodoxy Proletheans have decided to disown the Protestanty ones as heretics.

I felt the healing was explained as best they could. That there is a gene some mammals have that allows for regeneration and she has a variant on that. The mouse species they named is real and can regenerate some.

The thing is I think several here though have been critical of this season. You'll see many people say the island stuff was a failure. Lots of people have criticized Westmoreland as a weak character. Even with regard to this episode several feel the Neolution stuff ended overly anticlimactic and a tad disappointing.

I see a lot of people do that with many things, but yeah it's annoying even if she didn't mean it in that way.

I'm not inevitably opposed to anything mystical in a show like this but it seems like efforts to link the mystical part of a show or film to the scientific part only rarely works and mostly didn't work here either. (Arthur C. Clarke could do it, mostly, but he was doing a somewhat different thing. His characterization

I'd think smashing his legs could do some of that. I think a factor was he just wouldn't shut up. So smacking him in the head is maybe the obvious "shut up now." (I do think telling him a story about the eagle's flight saying all he needed to say would work here.)

Well there are some small Maoist parties in the US. There's "Revolutionary Communist Party, USA", "Freedom Road Socialist Organization", and maybe the "Progressive Labor Party."

In fairness some in things like "America First" I think were more isolationist than Pro-Nazi.

Maybe there is some sort of proximity aspect. It could even go by something like the inverse square law so its weaker by a square of the distance. So the Colombian one is like there, sort-of, but at like a millionth of the effect of one nearby. So the distant ones maybe even blur together as a sort-of gentle hum.

He was arrested a few times for prostitution, didn't seem to be unfamiliar with selling drugs when Sarah asked in Season 1, and knew how to burgle. I think they had a flashback of him in the police office for some crime.

So I think you're agreeing it's kind of a bunch of things.

The super healing is pretty strongly implied to relate to a healing gene as that's what he wanted to extract. They gave the example of the mice to show regenerative capabilities can exist in mammals.

Yeah I guess I could see it as filler too.
