Continuing

Killjoy.

These are the kinds of questions you…wait what?

On Dark Matter it's like that TNG episode where Riker is in a play or a mental institution, but he's actually in a simulation. Also a bit like that Batman dream episode. Only it's about 6 and the ending kind of confused me. (How did he turn the tables on them? He was point-blank asked and answered, but I didn't quite

"and the murdered koala is suddenly alive again."

I admit the thought of "I guess we should Fear the Walking Dead" entered my mind to be dismissed as terrible because a young man really did die.

It's actually about a Republican Presidents daughter who finds love while going on an environmental crusade. Her Dad surprises her by totally accepting the Melanesian choir leader she fell for and adopting moderate climate change policies. And they end the film in a wedding and a rendition of Francis of Assissi

Now if they could only finish up "Home Movies."

I was the one that started her Wikipedia article. Neat.

And now I've finished the series. Not entirely sure why Sam still exists, she initially considered aborting him until the guy proposed, but maybe Alec somehow made that possible. Although that could be a weird move (I made sure your son still exists, but that you will never see him again) since he's "nice guy future

Egad, I hadn't thought of that. Maybe they'll keep that stuff out of Classics as Trump wasn't even a candidate when those shows were around.

Nitpicking won't make that happen.

Trying to think what you mean here as I love Homicide. Do you mean the thing with the cop shooting an unarmed man? Isaiah Washington was kind of great in that. The way Pembleton/Braugher kind-of browbeats him into that emotional, and false, confession. Good stuff on both sides.

"3 nods for Supporting Actress"

I know. I pretty much just came to AV for TV stuff, I go to maybe one movie a year (one year I did go to three, but that's high for me), so its decline was irksome to me. Irksome!

What??? Club Classics is back? And just when I'm getting tired of you and probably leaving over Kinja?

She was nominated for "Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series - 2017", the AV Club just messed up or something.

Looking through the link here's some "nominations you may miss in the news."

I kind of like monarchies, the constitutional monarchies anyway. If Trump were just king, a figurehead who goes to balls and parties with an entourage of Bannon and ilk, we could be scandalized by his antics without worrying he actually has the power to do anything. (And he might like that better too.)

I've never watched it, but I think at present a half-hour show with a quirky or unusual premise (or pun title) is counted as a comedy no matter how depressing it is.
