The thing is entertainment figures matter a fair amount to Democrats and represent some of their largest donors. And I don't think I'd have too much trouble finding a Democratic politician referring to Republicans as "murderous" or something equivalent.

I think the lawyers and courts show there are still ways to mitigate what you dislike of Republicans.

Steve Scalise has apparently been shot. The injury's were not too serious, but I sincerely hope it's a random crazy and not an act of politically motivated violence. One description of the shooter said he was a white male on "the chubby side." (I did not write this description.)
