I'm wondering how you explain their success in Governorships, the Senate, and state legislatures though.

Thank you.
Madam Secretary did something on that. (But Terry may have been left wanting more.)
The US Conference of Catholic Bishops criticized Trump's decision.
That's a pretty big exaggeration. Outside of the Islamic world people might be ambivalent about the US, but they aren't that hostile.
Merkel wasn't even born when the Nazis ruled. Her party also has an Afro-German legislator, though he is said to be retiring.
I think most of the US area would still be dry land even if all the ice melted. I can't see the Colorado Plateau, at least, going entirely underwater. And if I understand the following right places over 300 feet above sea level would remain dry land.
Titus's level of awful in this one is pretty severe, though they did recognize that.
I suppose belief is more credulous than disbelief. The least credulous thing is to be a nihilist, possibly.
I actually thought it had some problems, but (like the original BSG, perhaps) I think it had some good stuff and potential to be something interesting. So it sometimes hits me as something where a "re-imagination" or revival might make sense.
I'm going to say Jim Gordon. Barry Allen does worse more damaging stuff (changed this as I'm not sure if Allen's "stuff" actually is "worse." He has more power to do damage, but Gordon may do stuff more intentionally malign. Barry often is more selfish and clueless than quite as screwed up as Gordon can get. And, as…
Feel better soon! ZaiJian!
It is reality that a Presidential assassination is a bigger deal than an actor's. Maybe that offends a desire for equality, but I'm pretty sure it's true. Something like that is close to why they said they showed Granite Flats, from BYUTV, in its last season before BYUTV itself showed it. Sure it was by a "white male" but I think it was like a white male Buddhist working for Mormons.
Oddly I did see a preacher once say the destruction of the Earth was irrelevant because once the Earth is destroyed then will come the New Heaven and the New Earth.
From what I've gathered on talking to older ones some of them were raised on a series of "disaster stories that never happened" so they just maybe reflexively reject any disaster story of any kind now.
I suppose this one was odd, but not necessarily that bad.
If you mean Caitlin what almost makes it stranger is it feels like they maybe could think of a reason for her being bad. But they don't really do that in the ones I saw. It's more of a Jekyll & Hyde thing, but J&H imagined one was his actual dark side.
Aww dang. Condolences.
Possibly nothing for me until next Monday. Perhaps I'll manage to be gone for a bit.
