In the previous episode, near the end, Joan is talking with the wife of stumpy in the Brownstone and she tells Joan that her husband investigated Sherlock and that Mycroft had gotten out of MI6 but returned because “something had happened”. The next time we see Joan she shows up at Mycroft’s and the first thing she

I can't imagine Casey Kasem not being able to speak. That's just unnatural.

General Wedge Antilles' spaceship was shot down over the J'pan Nebula. It spun in. There were no survivors.

Actually wo is correct. If they have 1 left of the original 2 and a half thats 40%. Unless of course Jon Cryer was the half, which I wouldn't argue against.

William Gillette based most of the look of his Sherlock on the illustrations Sidney Paget did for The Strand magazine. The deerstalker hat, the cape and a pipe were from the drawings but according to wiki it was Gillette that introduced the very distinctive looking calabash pipe.

I like the idea that Mycroft was just continuing his campaign to get Sherlock out of New York when this situation blew up in his face. But still, by this point the French bad guys had moved into Diogenes so it seems like he would have been making an effort to keep Sherlock away.

Sheldon hugging someone is almost always a good thing. The high point of the series for me is still his response to getting the Spock DNA.

The second cake did have a flat bottom. It made me wonder if they had rescued the first cake by slicing off a few inches or started over. Does the 5 second rule apply to death stars?

Everything you said makes sense. So it basically comes down to; Mycroft is a guy, guys do stupid things when women are involved, Mycroft did a stupid thing.

I like both the actor and the character of Mycroft in the show. Just knowing that Mycroft is supposed to be the smarter of the two (at least according to canon and from a few things Sherlock has said on the show it seems it might still be true) showing up at the brownstone during a time he wants to keep Sherlock away

If he does show up next season I hope he turns out to be this really nice, normal guy. At least at first.

Remember when Sherlock came home from his "I am without peer" meeting Mrs Hudson had let Mycroft into the brownstone and he was cooking something. If he wanted to keep Sherlock away from Diogenes what the heck was he doing there?

I meant why go to Sherlock prior to Watson getting kidnapped.

Again though, if Mycroft had just stayed away from them they would not have gotten involved.

That makes sense that Mycroft wanted Sherlock away from Diogenes. But then why go to the brownstone? And why try to get involved with Watson? The one thing that is sure to bring him around.

I agree. Granted we knew Joan wasn't going to get killed and Mycroft probably wasn't but when the boss says "kill them" don't you just point and shoot?

Sherlock wasn't the only one acting illogically. There are all kinds of things about what Mycroft did that I don't understand.

I had never checked out one of these Gameological episodes but I was wondering about this game so the title caught my eye. I am now a fan. Also, I am not ashamed to admit that I am now a little bit in love with Sam Nelson.

I'm with you on this one. Worst theme song ever.

For me the most iconic is M.A.S.H. and the best is The Sopranos. And I know the show went down the toilet after the fourth season but the intro to Dexter might be the best for setting the mood of any show I can think of. The way they made getting dressed and making breakfast so creepy was amazing.
