My senior year of HS I read Ayn Rand's Anthem for the first time about a week before I heard 2112 for the first time. I was completely unaware that the book was the inspiration for the song and the coincidence blew my mind.
They're a singles band- the albums tend to have a lot of filler. Purple is probably the best front-to-back, but their first three albums are worth a listen.
I didn't know LBJ was the First Doctor.
I've heard that song dozens of times just in the past couple of weeks, and can't remember a thing about it.

Such a waste—of production, of time and energy, of space, of money…a bunch of junk with little or no significance
I still remember when I was a child and I saw a Godzilla movie (Godzilla vs. King Kong) for the first time. I instantly became obsessed with old monster movies, which eventually led me to discover MST3K later in my childhood/early adolescence.

The Life of the World to Come is superb. "Romans," "Matthew," and "Isaiah" are so heartbreaking.
