There isn't much evidence that the third party voters in those states would have automatically gone to Clinton if not for the presence of third parties. In fact, a lot of evidence suggests that they would have either stayed home or in a lot of cases peeled off to Trump. Of course, I think you know that and are just

Please quote to me where I suggested that Trump wasn't accused or guilty of sexual assault. Please find that quote. Thanks.

Nah. The Clintons moved the barometer in the early 90s especially. (Well, Reagan did a lot of the damage, but the Clintons solidified it and made it permanent with their third-way crap.) I think you're looking at Obama through pretty rose-colored glasses if you consider him to be all that liberal. His signature

Do you honestly think a modern Democrat could run for president on founding the EPA, or really on any kind of actually robust environmental protections? Be honest.

Yeah, I mean he founded the EPA basically. He was certainly no left-winger, but the thing is both parties have moved so far to the right that what was once Nixon attempting to be a little more "moderate" and reasonable would now be considered crazy leftist nonsense to the Pelosis and Clintons of the party. Mind you,

A) I'm not sure you want to use comedy shows to illustrate your point.

Not really. I'm not leaving Bush blameless here, just as I don't leave Obama blameless for Iraq and Afghanistan. But it was nonetheless Clinton who was most directly responsible. Iraq was a disaster in many ways (as just discussed) but it had little to do with the economic collapse while Clinton's mass deregulation

Nixon was probably to the left of most modern Democrats, at least on domestic issues. Just saying.

But maybe - and hear me out here - part of the reason Democrats have been losing elections so badly over the last couple decades is that they've "compromised" so much that people rightfully perceive them as not even standing for anything? Say what you will about Republicans, but no one can accuse them of not standing

Also, it's hardly unreasonable to suggest that the Democrats have moved to the right in recent decades, that doing so has helped enable the GOP's similar if more extreme rightward shift, and that this merits some alarm and honest criticism. One can certainly say that voters in swing states should vote for Clinton

There were many things that the GOP drastically constrained Obama's abilities on. Gitmo isn't one of them. Blaming him for not closing it is totally fair, and in fact every relevant human rights or legal group working on Gitmo's closure has held him to account over it.

I tend to like your comments, but this really isn't a good argument. Clinton went on a pretty drastic deregulation streak particularly in his second term (Glass-Steagal was an important piece of that but hardly the only example) and the consequences were pretty predictable even back then. That the crash didn't happen

Yeah it sure sucks that we can't enjoy this picture of a man who multiple women have accused of sexual assault, flanked by his buddies who destroyed the lives of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. What a bummer!

Nah, not enough 90s material.

50 Shades of Hay: A My Little Pony Erotic Fanfiction?

I had fun reading it. To be clear, a lot of the writing in it is really pretty bad. There were a few sentences that made me guffaw for how awkward and amateurish they are. All the incessant referencing also gets a little tedious and pandering. But the world building is fun. The overall story is pretty creative and

I don't know, for my girlfriend and I movie going has actually become a pretty central activity at times (especially going to screenings of older films) and I think it's helpful in that sense that our tastes are reasonably similar. There are certainly times where we go to things separately from each other if the movie

I didn't suggest it was illegal. She did say that she was made uncomfortable by his advances after the film was made, and that she resisted her own parents' urging of her to go with Allen on that trip. I'm not saying she hates him, but he was apparently somewhat creepy with her. I personally don't look charitably on

As far as that goes, possibly. But you did ask if he had a history of inappropriate relationships outside of the most obvious one, so there you go.

I didn't say they were the same, overall. They did both however have remarkably similarly romances with 17-year-old high school seniors, at roughly the same middle age and heights of their fame. It was merely an observation.
