i think quinn wanted to die. this was a hero's death.
i think quinn wanted to die. this was a hero's death.
carrie had just survived an insane ordeal (and also the shock that her delayed reaction caused the death of the people in the 2 leading SUVs) - she's in survival mode. to be an operative, you can't fall apart when something bad happens.
it's a death scene…. it's not a funeral. survival first….mourning comes later.
well, now she has a kid and can't just be out saving the world all willy-nilly. frannie adds another layer of dimension to carrie.
lol or [political party slur]
for him, it's a good send off. he didn't like where his life was heading, and this was a hero's exit.
uh, this was filmed before the election.
i don't think it's a cop out. he believes what he believes (which is that the bad things he and the CIA do are for the betterment of the country). keene disagrees.
she's the main new character of the season - of course she'll have the arc. the others have had theirs in earlier major years of their careers (whether it was seen through the show or not).
well, his lens of america is that the strength of america is done through covert ops and creating coups for other counties in order for the US to consolidate power…. if she's not a fan of that, she doesn't prescribe to *his* vision of what makes america great
he's available for chats and advice giving
homeland knows what they want to be….they mirror (with a lens of what it's like to be in the CIA, pulling the strings and covering it up) what's going on in the real world…. which is turning into a black mirror dystopia.
yep. paranoia. that should be the theme of the next season.
right?? when they had the scene of him calmly sitting in that meeting, i was like "dafuq? how'd he get out of that bombing??"
i'm so glad he didn't die with the world thinking he assassinated keene!
yes, quinn is pip-ish. i liked that reference. a poor kid plucked from obscurity and given a false sense of his own power, but was set up to fail.
yeah, i think it's more guilt about how him removing the bullets caused her to not be able to protect herself, thus he got her killed. he didnt realize that astrid *really* cared for him.
…also, his anger at being betrayed by dar too many times.
you're giving up on the show? dafuq?!?!
i *always* think someone is about to get popped on this show. ALWAYS.
…..well……
lol! she IS the queen of quivering lip!
