I don't really agree. Some developers are just way better at it than others. Rockstar (GTAV), CD Project Red (Witcher 3), and Naughty Dog (Uncharted, The Last of Us) all have fantastic realistic facial animations. Don't think those games work as well if they are more stylized because their realism is important.

The Waitress, Artemis, The McPoyles, Mac's parents, Charlie's mom and uncle, The Lawyer, and Cricket are all fantastic. The Ponderosa's are the only ones who never do anything for me.

I live in Philly, which is almost as blue as it gets, and still see Confederate flags constantly. It's really really weird
