Not sure what to make of this. George Clooney's movies have been really uneven. Confessions of a Dangerous Mind was really good, but then Leatherheads and Monuments Men were surprisingly bland…as fuck. I'm hoping since the Coen bros. co wrote this, it will be good. But you never know.

I'm surprised by what I've read about his on-set antics. I listened to his interview on the Nerdist podcast recently (its an older episode from 2013), and he sounds like a pretty thoughtful and intelligent guy. Having said that, I'm also the worst about giving people I'm attracted to a pass for bad/strange behavior.

I'm probably going to watch season 2, but I kind of agree that it's receiving a lot of unwarranted attention. While I appreciate the slow burn approach to storytelling (Mad Men, the Wire, and Sopranos are my favorite shows) I thought the big reveals were a) unearned; and b) not that surprising. I will say that I

I am dubious about David O. these days. Why can't he go back to making I Heart Huckabee type movies? His latest string of movies have been okay, but they don't really possess the heart (ha!) of Huckabees.

Interesting that you checked out at the mid point of season 2, because I believe that's when Frank Darabont left the show and a new showrunner took over.

Haha I have to admit I've used that to describe my old commute. Strangely, I've adopted a few things Pete has said. Including the classic, "Christ on a cracker!" And once, when my iphone fell on a moving treadmill and was thrown across the gym, I muttered, "Ah, your sister's c*nt!" This should be familiar to anyone

The anchor's inability to carry a meaningful conversation reminds me of when my 21-year-old sister had me go with her to a party earlier this year. I tried to talk to her friends, but was met with blank stares, uncomfortable laughter, and a lot of inside-jokes referencing various memes. I felt like I was in a Twilight

Poor guy. Star Wars nerds are the definitely the most obnoxious nerds (maybe after Dead Heads.) As a tepid fan of the franchise who loves to nerd out over movies, books and music, engaging someone in a Star Wars-related conversation can sometimes be like getting too close to a wounded pit bull. Down boy! I'm just

That had me laughing for a good minute. And everyone's stunned reaction as they slowly walk away was the perfect button.

Do you think the Black Lodge is also what Rod Serling called…The Twilight Zone?

So am I. But if you think about it, even though Bobby has grown up and matured, he's still the same ole Bobby. When he started crying at seeing Laura's picture, the first thing I thought of was his impassioned speech at Laura's funeral back in season one. Bobby could be a dick, but, damn, he's also really soulful. Now

Agreed. I've tried to get other people into Six Feet Under, but for some reason it just doesn't work. The main complaint is that the morgue scenes are just too raw, and that the show itself it depressing as fuck. Not sure what this says about me, but that's exactly what I love about it. The characters are so fleshed

Not sure if this was the case with all showings of the film, but when I saw Baby Driver last weekend Edgar Wright did a pre-recorded PSA to thank people for seeing it in theaters, because it is intended to be seen on a big screen with an audience. To be honest, I'm not sure I'll watch it again, but, damn, it was an

I'd like to ask her for a light, if you catch my drift…just to be clear, I don't mean crushing her skull with my bare hands.

My nerd sensibility is telling me to be annoyed that they are changing something that is a staple of my childhood (this post couldn't be any more relevant since I'm going to Disneyland tomorrow), even though I know it's sort of the right thing to do. It's also telling to ask, "what will be changed next? Are they going

Come on, brahhhhhski.

I could look up her name for you…but you can do that on your own. I agree that she's pretty fucking sexy. FYI she's a former Playboy Playmate. They—Reznor and his wife—have a side project call How to Destroy Angels. I suggest you check out their video for "Spaces in Between." Her voice is not actually very good, but

David Lynch and Nine Inch Nails have worked together before. Reznor was on the Lost Highway soundtrack. He may have done more that I can't remember/don't know of. You should check out that soundtrack if you already haven't.

Awesome. I'll make sure to check these out!

I LOVED this episode. If you could have recorded my facial expressions throughout the episode, I'm sure it went from normal resting face, happy face, confused, appalled, and finally awe.
