I agree that the beginning of the Snyder Dawn of the Dead is great, and that you don't need that much time in a movie to set up the pre-apocalypse. But given that The Walking Dead is fully entrenched in the post-apocalypse, shouldn't the spin-off show spend its time in how exactly the world goes to shit? I kind of

Sweet! Glad we could come to an understanding.

I prefer good TV shows to bad ones. Is that what you're asking?

Already enjoying this a million times more than the main show.

I love any time Adam Scott's voice gets into that weird talking loud/yelling range.

IT DOESN'T EXIST!

What are your director-judging credentials? Seen a lot of Stanley Kubrick movies? fuck off.

I'm much more into this season now, but EVERY SINGLE EPISODE there is one just absolutely terrible line.

I wonder if the Brass/corrput Vinci people gave them shitty intel and sent them in prematurely to ruin Ani's career/life/kill her? Is that too paranoid?

I find the retroactive love for John Carter totally baffling. I thought it was a bland movie with a charisma black hole for a main actor. And yet it was simultaneously the most over-complicated thing I have ever seen.

It's possible that they're just coloring it that way because orange and yellow is the color of LA? Just because it's digital doesn't mean its automatically bad. There are plenty of respected directors who will only shoot on digital.

I think my favorite thing about Veep is everyone has great zingers, and everyone is a loser. It's a great balance.

I love the ending of this show. Henry going back into auditions is so beautiful, even if the chances of it turning out well for him are so small. Maybe that's why it's so great.

The only bit of season 2 that reminds me at all of season 1 is the very end of the second episode. Only that small part where Colin Farrell is investigating the house has come close to the style that permeates season 1.

I think this was my favorite, and episode 2 was my least favorite. Every episode has at least one line that makes me roll my eyes hard, though.

I agree that the combat in the sequels gets a bit convoluted, but the control scheme is largely the same. Asylum has the same quickfire gadgets that City and Knight have.

I think you're probably right about going back to Asylum, and that's why I never want to replay it. Some things are better left as perfect in my mind.

I've never understood complaints about urgency in games. You just have to accept that you're playing a video game, and if you want time to do the things you want to do, some things are going to be a bit off.

I have trouble imagining that any acting could have saved that monologue. It was so overly dramatic. "By day two, rats were chewing on my fingers. Day three, the light burnt out!" Jesus, give me a break. If you wanted to make a parody of that scene they didn't leave many places to go to top the misery Vaughn went

Wow, that's utterly hilarious! I've never laughed so hard at anything in my life! A 9.8 rating? Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!
