The Delaney thing was a bombshell to me, I thought he was finding Mookie Blaiklock hilarious (like I did). I think it is almost better now to know that he was offput by it.

I'm bummed that the Adam Brodey/Lapkus episode didn't make the top 20. Or that The World's End ep didn't either. Two quality episodes! But good selections otherwise, loved all the bonus clips, and you can't argue with 8 hours of PFT and Scott.
How do you know the producers did anything to this? Why are the AV Club log lines so terrible now?
I liked that episode a lot, like many have said, just a delight. But man, Shelby Fero seems like a dum-dum sometimes. I liked her on her Analyze Fish appearence, but the way she was stopping the improv and her general lack of knowledge was kind of baffling. Compare her to Harris Wittels, who is 26, I think. What a…
Have to disagree with you about Cuaron's long takes. His shots never go on just to be showy, they absolutely root you in the world and the characters. Edits can distance you from what is happening and what the characters are feeling, long takes (when done correctly) immerse you in the action. I feel like Gravity is…
AV Club, I don't like your jerk-off name, I don't like your jerk-off redesign, I don't like your jerk-off writing, and I don't like you, jerk-off.
All the writers that made this site what it is left.
I actually saw a cut of it before I knew the framing device was even going to be a part of it. It moves so much quicker when you're rid of this completely useless part.
My opinion is that it was an extremely generic action movie with a totally predictable plot. But layered on top of that is this complex mythology that didn't make any sense to me (never having read any of the books). So there was two levels of disinterest for me.
Yeah, it was kind of a dick move, and I regret it a tad, but it's too late now. I actually did skim a lot of it even so.
Hey, that's a lot of writing I won't read, but I liked Place Beyond The Pines too!
For me, it's not even so much about the list (which I agree, isn't great), but about the writing. A lot of it is just embarrassing.
It's sad what this site has become.
This is a pretty bad list, and Lone Ranger is a pretty bad movie that could be on here. Oh and John Carter was not good, if it reviewed well people would be talking all the time about how overrated it is.
That movie had the best music! Just deep, thrumming bass shaking you in your seat.
I didn't love that football scene, but it certainly wasn't pretentious. What a critically meaningless word.
I get those same looks when I try to explain to people how good it is. Even my mom won't watch the show, I think because she doesn't like the woman being cheated on who stays angle. Fools, all of them!
Yeah, that's them! I think it's something like 15 episodes, at like 70-90 minutes each.
I'm super behind on my podcasts because I've been listening to all the CBB live episodes from this fall. I think they've been recommended a few times here, but they really are all fantastic. Above average episodes at the very least, other times some of the funniest moments this year. I especially loved the Ice T…
So about 23%?
