It's not a procedural, if that is what bugs you about them. It is ABOUT cops doing their job, though. And stories about them.

I'm dreading getting to it. That segment can really make me uncomfortable. I love Besser but I don't really enjoy hearing him and three comedians beat up on a caller who doesn't seem equipped to defend himself.

Yeah, it made me feel a bit uncomfortable at first, but her character is so established that I really loved it in the end. I mean, I always kind of liked the woman character pining after the dude, but is that really how things go in real life? Regardless of my drunken sentence construction, New Girl handled in nicely.

My biggest issue with this movie is I feel they took the wrong tack. They should have gone for Anchorman - no plot, just Vegas magicians doing funny shit. That sounds like a good movie to me. Instead they went for a more real character piece about Burt Wonderstone, and fell short. It just seems like the entirely wrong…

It worked well enough for me that I had no idea who to believe for a brief period. For a while I thought Mara, Law, and Zeta-Jones could all be lying. Turns out it was just some combination of that. (?)
