I thought "2 Become 1" and "Viva Forever" were and still are pretty damn great examples of pop ballad.
"Too Deep" from dvsn is so good. I love the switch of vocals role between the lead and background chanting.
"1990X" is flat-out stunning. The chord progression, the abrupt transition, and the chorus in those silky falsetto…..Easily contender for Best R&B Song of 2016 right there.

The whole compulsion scene was extremely clunky. Instead of making the characters look stoic while telling the truth, they look like they are bored out of their minds.
