He's attained the rank of pussy-willow.
Somewhat Related: I remember seeing an interview with Siskel and Ebert way back when, and they were asked if they had felt they had made any mistakes, or if they had changed their opinions on any movies. Siskel said he was wrong about Slapshot and regretted giving it a poor review, which I thought was interesting.
I saw that same interview and I didn't get that sense. He was smirking and joking around about Syd Barret's insanity and Waters had to stop him, saying something to the effect of "It's not really that funny, he was my friend". There have been some great perforances on Fallon's show, though, it's true; Springsteen with…
They've got Neil Young's endorsement, that works for me.
are they going to the job interviews without shirts?
Yeah it was cool to see Eddie Bunker in that scene. I really liked the main theme as well, especially during the opening credits where it comes to a dramatic crescendo as he's buying a hot dog.
Walsh is the ultimate slimeball, to be sure. It's interesting, though, upon subsequent viewings, understanding how much of a dangerous sociopath Hoffman's character actually is, to think that maybe Walsh's actions and methods were justified.
M. Emmet Walsh, Gary Busey, and Harry Dean Stanton are in it. That alone makes it worth checking out.
WWHOOOOOOOOoOOOoOOOO!!!
These changes are all asinine. The way the comments meander left and right is making me queasy.
If they wanted to get rid of unregistered commenters why didn't they just go ahead and do that? The rest of these changes are asinine.
Love this shit.
Me and my crew out breaking windows
The bingo the lotto you know I'll never win those
Did anyone see the Turn Off the Dark performance on Letterman the other night? It was shockingly stupid; like, I knew it was going to be awful, but just… wow. It was a lot like that Mr. Show "New San Francisco" sketch, but with Spider-Man villains.
Ah, here it is. Was just about to post this as well. Fully Completely and Day for Night are insanely good. Classics by any measure.
Big Wednesday's great. Enjoy the Gerry Lopez cameo. Speaking of Lopez I'm surprized there's no mention of North Shore in this article. There should be a primer for 80s extreme sports movies: North Shore, Thrashin', RAD and the like; all of which are basically The Karate Kid with different bitchin' activities plugged in
she explicates that thought in the film.
If Needham had hung it up after Megaforce we would never have got RAD
have to chime in here and agree with the Alexander Keith's criticism. It's a generic macro-brew (Labatt/Anheuser Busch) lager with virtually no hops flavour, light body, and regular/low alcohol content. not an IPA.
that shit still draws my ire.
