Lagertha presently has 2 full lines this season and we're going into episode 5.

How is possibly the biggest moment of this episode the last stray note?
Floki is either a god, or at least, the new Seer.

Yes to option 2. Aslaug is most definitely going rogue and Lagertha might just (finally) put her in her place.

I think he's taking that bear back to show Ragnar. That's who he's out to prove himself to. He'll only want Lagertha to tend to his injuries.

Ragnar demonstrated to Kalf that he won't defend Lagertha's interests so I think he feels emboldened to con her. Little does he know that (I believe) Lagertha is totally on to him. And possibly even working with Erlendur to test his loyalty.

We're heading into episode 4 and Lagertha has had one line "Stop. I should've done this a long time ago".

I think Ragnar will remain unhappily married to the shrew until he dies because that's just what both of them deserve. Although I do believe she is actively planning his death.

Yes I think the show needs to do a better job of fleshing out the characters around Ragnar, especially if his character exits after this 20-episode season. Lagertha is the #2 on this show yet she's still largely two dimensional. If only one character can have all the layers I sense the next main character will be

How many here think Helga killed her own daughter as a sacrifice for Floki?
I don't, but i keep running into this theory.

I prefer the story amongst the Vikings themselves— but by nature, the story has to expand to the areas they've affected and settled.

After season 3 i was a member of this club. Although to me, TF still kills it every week on this show. His presence will be missed.

Everyone is making good points, and I agree here. I don't mind Wessex, not so keen on Paris but I understand the need for them. I only wish it could be a bit less. At the moment the story in Kattegat is a bit hollow so it makes sense to cut out to the other countries for this episode. As for pacing—yes it's off.

I've liked that he's made it a bit more subtle. I cringed a bit last season because his Ragnar mannerisms seemed so heavy handed and unauthentic for him. You'd think such distinguishable characteristics show themselves at childhood.

Stuff I want out of this season:

More like she's going to fuck him up. Or at least try to.
Like someone says below, she wants her bloodline at the throne, not Lagertha's. Ragnar better watch his back and his drink.

Indeed. He's defended the woman who killed his mother.

Mark my words, Aslaug is out to kill Ragnar.

I always wonder why we always want to claim Egypt. Aren't most Black Americans of sub-Saharan ancestry? It would be more accurate to claim Asante or Igbo than the Egyptian and Kushite Empires. It isn't even ethnically correct. Those folks are Arab.

Of all the hateful slurs, stereotypes, and unfortunately TRUE historical references in this film… the pecker story is racist? Oooookkk.

Goggins is amazing.
