There's also Rag/Lag propositioning Athelstan.
I'm sensing voyeurism is a turn on because all of these threesomes are with 1 woman and 2 men. Assuming they aren't gay, watching much be a draw.
There was that hook up in the world version between Rag/Lag and Aslaug. I have a hard time believing the two women were

And not just carnally but tactically. Athelstan has the most common sense of anyone and would not want to risk an already tenuous alliance over a hook up. He's too disciplined.

I'm not too bothered by the bro-sewing circle because to these men, the women seem to only exist in the background, and only become relevant between raids. In reality their feelings would follow them onto the boat and into Wessex instead of turning off like a faucet.

I think Ragnar loves him but he's a pragmatist and thinks big picture. I absolutely don't blame Aslaug for saving her son. But Ragnar knew what life would be like for Ivar, and here it is. The fact he knew better and has to witness his son's pain grates on him and I think he resents Aslaug for it.

#3 all day.

I agree. The dialogue is sometimes spiritless and lackluster.
But when it's good, it's great.
Ragnar's scene where he mourns Gyda comes to mind.
Also Ragnar and Bjorn's words to each other when they are reunited after four years. Those were both emotional and eloquent.

Kalf looks like a modern person in Vikings clothes.
Like one of the servers at Medieval Times.
…And Kalf is cute but he wishes he looked like Garret Hedlund. :)

It does make you wonder, but the network won't sacrifice the ad revenue that comes with the US ratings for BluRay sales.
That said, you'd think they'd make smarter cuts. Keep the scene with Ragnar & Athelstan, and cut a few shots from the 5 minute battle scene.

My biggest objection with Aslaug is she is super boring.
They've already deviated from her historical persona so much, they may as well just write her however they want. It would be great if she was something entirely different from how she appears. The Seer has been dropping clues about her since season 1.
He

We had no chance at all to like Aslaug.
She was introduced to viewers under the cruelest imaginable circumstances —truly she had no shot.

Yes, it kind of goes against the point he was trying to make.

It isn't. Fimmel says they go back to Ireland to shoot in April.

I'm sure somewhere in the comments someone caught his, but Dennis should know that Ragnar did not spare Ivar from the elements. He actually DID leave him there to die.

This new lead henchman is far from "competent".
Not with screaming one-tenth of a second after Mr Walker leaves; "SHIT!! HOW ARE WE GOING TO ROB THAT PIZZA PLACE NOW THAT HE KNOWS OUR FACES!!!!"

Who is back there cooking cheeseburgers for Boyd at 7AM?

I'm listening too and I like it.

I agree, I want Raylan unhinged. He's untouchable mostly, but there have been a few occasions where criminals have gotten too close for comfort. Like when those thugs tied up pregnant Winona. I think that is what led him to have the Detroit mafia dude killed in that trailer in S4. A move that almost got him fired.

I love Dickie Bennett.

I knew it was coming when he told Boyd he was tired. And when he started talking about the old days.

Interesting.
