Man of Steel
This is correct, but the movie this applies to is Age of Ultron (domestically at least), not Ant-Man. Had Ant-Man performed as its opening weekend indicated it would domestically, it would have disappointed Disney imo. But I don't think they can be disappointed with what it's ended up doing.

Ugh. Please don't use that lame awful picture in connection with Martin's beautiful books. His Others (not white walkers) are nothing like that.
Aye. PC appeasement crap is just that. At least the original SV had sense of self-preservation enough to ditch their misguided PC casting after season 3 (so long, black Pete Ross!).
Arrow is laughably bad after seas 1. Every single supporting character - literally every single one - is either dead or a superhero of Ollie's stature by the end of season 3. This includes his stick-armed baby sister and ex-girlfriend. That show got real bad real fast. Season 1, when he first started out and had the…
The timeless versions of Batman and Superman (respectively) are Batman: The Animated Series and Smallville seasons 1 thru 7 (respectively). Those two adaptations understood the fundamental reasons the characters work, when they do, and got rid of/avoided all the tired crap that doesn't work. And yes I know SV 1-7 was…

Ant-Man's currently made 174 domestic and 384 worldwide. It'll finish better than Cap1 in unadjusted domestic gross (Cap1 is at 176) and will surpass 400 worldwide. It's been a box office success and was a critical success and is very well-liked by the fans. It'll be shocking if they don't give it a sequel, especially…
Or maybe he thinks those have been the only well-directed superhero movies? Because I don't work for Marvel and I'm not a fanboy, and other than the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies (the 2nd one at least), I agree with him.
