A minority opinion, but Christine is my favorite of the Buckingham/McVie/Nicks trio. She might be less flashy than Lindsay or Stevie but she has an amazing knack for writing these sparkling, romantic pop songs that never fail to put me in a better mood. .

Seconded! I was already dreading to find it under "Where Not To Start" (which… isn't there at all/ETA: oh yeah this isn't a Gateways To Geekery) but very glad to see it getting its due. It's such a sunny, dreamy little gem. "Love In Store" is pure bliss. I also adore "Empire State".

One of the AV Club's most jarring disruptions arrives halfway through the above comment.

I didn't expect that somebody wouldn't say it.

You can find Glenn Kohlberger's tirades on clown-shaming on tumblr dot com.

    Raped and dead and raped.

How did they solve the cursive/curse gag in the French dub? In the German version the dialogue plays out the same way although the words for cursive and curse are completely different, thus making Bart's cursing completely random.

Mike gave the original two stars (39) and this one three (54).

I totally love that shitty early 90's font in the video

Well, in this episode neither of the candidates were George W. Bush.

I do think season 8 is the first where the show occasionally feels a bit tired. But you're right that it's astonishing just how long the quality remained extremely high (with the monstrous amount of seasons there are now it's easy to forget that the show was already a long runner at this point by normal TV standards).

The point of the joke is obviously to contrast the behavior of the two characters who represent the "edgy" nature of their respective shows, and how quaint Bart's behavior looks today compared to actually shocking humor. It works the same way as Jay North's guest appearance in The Simpsons ages ago ("I once hid my

I was laughing until I got to the post on page 3 where Grandmaster Flash begs his daughter to answer what happened to his grandson and why he never hears at all from them anymore :-(

    Whatever happened to Stephanie Hodge?

Yeah. I couldn't imagine bicycling without it for that reason.

I only just bought a new one two months ago when my old one broke after five years. I couldn't just listen to music on my phone, I'm way too neurotic (not to mention lazy) to entertain the thought of having to pick and choose from my library all the time instead of having all of my music with me. Also, I dropped my

Ooh, sounds interesting. Can you tell us some more?

Drescher's had a few short-lived sitcom comebacks already actually. But they were again created and produced by herself. I really don't picture her as the type who'd let people walk over her.
