    "Since U Been Gone"

Heh, I think we had exactly this discussion in the recent inventory about band members who broke through solo.

They've moved pretty far away from that sound since then, though. Their latest album (and new song) is more Princey-funky.

    Cool story Bro.

It's funny how most "boy"bands back then had several members that old-looking. The producers really must have overestimated the appeal of the "big brother" archetype (seriously, did anyone care for Kevin or Howie? N'Sync was even worse with Joey and Chris) considering how well One Direction does with five totally

"Backstreet's Back" brings the house down at every trash pop party.

It's not representative (from what I've read about it, haven't seen it). Most of the time Tatort is just a generic crime procedural, and the regionalism that is part of its appeal* would be lost on non-German viewers anyway. But there are certainly a few great episodes and very occasionally even somewhat experimental

Love them. The bridge in this song is gorgeous.

I love the ending too, but I'm surprised at your assessment that there's no resolution for the final girl. Usually in these films there's a final scare that shows that either the killer is still after her or (if it's a fake-out) that she will be forever haunted by him. In contrast the last thing we get from the girl

Wasn't the "new Elliott" the result of network demands? I seem to remember reading the producers were told that Elliott should be sexier (more flattering makeup, dress in more revealing clothing etc.) But yeah, it actually makes sense. Kudos to the writers that it wasn't as contrived as it could have been (or not

Yeah, don't believe those Internet rumors. The site from which they originated (Crazy Days and Nights) is a hoax, basically.

I was seven in 1994, but in Germany Friends remained largely unnoticed for years until around 2000 when the channel it was on here began to show it weekdays at 6. It then became popular enough that the last three seasons were actually shown in primetime (which was very rare for US sitcoms back then). So I was around

I think Phoebe was a former roommate of Monica's.

The one misstep they made with Rachel (which Orange Whip alludes to) was when they temporarily made her ditzy so the viewer would think her a good fit for Joey in that awful storyline. But otherwise yeah, she was the only character who not only didn't become a complete cartoon, but actually showed growth.

Friends' continuity is all messed up anyway. Rachel's 30th birthday is in season 7, which would indeed make her 23 in the first season, but then she's supposed to be the same age as Monica who is 26 as Orange Whip says.

Yeah, the homosexuality-as-punchline humor that popped up throughout the show's run (really not just the first season) was annoying. Friends started during a time when the topic finally wasn't taboo anymore in mainstream media, but writers still weren't comfortable enough to not treat it in extremely jokey fashion.

Just get yourself invited to a Hanks family barbecue.

…and now they've announced a rule change so that the EL winner will indeed get a CL spot, in effect from 2015/16.

I too loved the concept of the first Hangover, except I didn't think it lived up to its potential at all. I guess my biggest problem was how light the film is on actual jokes. It's mostly one random event after another that shouts at you: 'Isn't this funny?!' without much actual humor to back it up. Too bad, cause the

Burn-E is the alternate version of Wall-E in which instead of saving the fat humans he just goes up to them and says "Hey, Fatty! I've got a movie for ya: A Fridge Too Far!"
