It was an open race since nobody except Ben Aflleck won any awards before the Oscars, but among those nominated, Life of Pi was most certain to pick up several statuettes, it was the biggest directorial achievement, it had the most beloved director. Plus Lincoln's buzz had basically deflated throughout the season - it

Ed O'Brien (that's him second from right, right?) looks pretty cute here.

    Yeah, he looks it.

all the likes for this comment. you can come open my act.

I do like that the smiley faces in the video descriptions are the only indication he is capable of such emotion.

lik dis if u cry evry time

This band usually has a stange disparity between album titles that are totally lame (Alligator, Boxer) and and totally awesome (Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers, High Violet). But this one is neither.

Haha, shit. I didn't even realize you were paraphrasing a quote there. I thought I'd answer your question with a joke question. Attach the Stone of Shame!

    What episode is that from?

You could just have posted "Slow news day, amuse yourselves with random Simpsons quotes, guys", Sean.

1990: "I resent like hell that I was maybe 18 years old before I even heard
the 'L' word. I mean, that's understood, growing up sheltered in a
Mormon environment. But it would have made all the difference for me had
I grown up knowing that the reason I didn't fit in, was because they

It's true what they say. Women are from Omicron Persei 7. And men are from Omicron Persei 9.

This is getting juicy. Ramsay has just been dropped by her manager… who happens to be the daughter of the film's producer.  "Sorry, but in this town it's family first."

If there's one thing you can't accuse Germany of it's paving over their history. I actually don't think there's a country that embraces the less pleasant parts of its history as much as Germany does.

Cry Me A River came in at #3 on their Best Singles of 2003 list. So they were actually among the first to grant him critical respect.

Well, she had two albums before that (which extends the great run to Shit on the Radio - Powerless - Try - I'm Like A Bird). Maybe the flop of her latest will make her go back to her roots? I'd like that.

lol at some of the nerdrage here. Todd basically went out of his way to soften each of his points by saying "Don't get me wrong, it's good, it's good!!" multiple times throughout this piece and people still foam at their mouths as if he called Parks the worst show on TV and because he doesn't hate Girls instead. If

I don't really disagree with this, but at the same time I find it too laudatory towards the show. Yeah, it's kind of subversive all right, but there's only so many times you can use that exact same formula before it gets stale, and FG is way past that point. There's some validity in saying that if a misogynistic joke

I'd like them in an adaptation of Supernatural: An XXX Parody.

Boogie Nights is so amazing. The limo scene with Jack and Rollergrirl is one of my favorite in any movie. Reynolds and Graham (yes) deserved all the awards for that one.
