He's taking it easy? Scott is the only one to give a light-hearted answer to the question and now everyone thinks he literally finds her "appalling"? Jeez.

Let me recycle my own post from the recent Hasselhoff thread, which just happened to also reference Jerry Lewis:

Roseanne (the character)'s unpleasantness wasn't really a problem until around season 7 when the show started to celebrate her worst qualities. She was always abrasive, but the flaws in her personality were never downplayed. In the last few seasons, however, the mean-spiritedness was cranked up to another level and

The scene where Roseanne and Becky talk after she returns is also wonderful. One of my favorite sitcom episodes ever (along with the one being discussed here).

Sarah Chalke turned out to be a very fine comedic actress, but she was NOT one when she was on this show. Lecy Goranson fit the role about one trillion times better. Chalke, with her Hollywood good looks, always seemed out of place and she really couldn't deliver lines at all. The writers stopped trying very soon

Lisa the Vegetarian is the funnier episode, but Brush with Greatness deserves credit for being one of the best and most natural ways they wrote in a celebrity playing himself ever (something that they rarely did well even in the golden days).

That 90's Show is also hated for another appalingly lazy Marge + Homer relationship trouble plot as well as not satirizing the 90's as well as, uh, the show did in the actual 90's.
