I don't watch this show, but I like its episode naming convention - the number of words in the ep title corresponds to the season it's in. I hope they make it to a tenth season just so they have to come up with entire sentences for each episode title.

Were the characters ever good though? Lois, Meg and Chris were bland, Peter a Homer knock-off and Stewie a one-joke character. Brian had potential, true. But the show never really cared about the characters, that's a rose-tinted view.

Now they're doing sequel episodes to episodes I've never even seen. It sometimes feels like recent Simpsons is totally its own thing now. I could watch this and, while knowing that it's obviously the same show, somehow feel like it isn't. During the Scully and early Jean Era it would annoy me greatly if the show was

No, not really. The first guest star to play himself was Tony Bennett and he already served no purpose. It was just easier to ignore because the rest of the show was so damn good.

Yeah. I guess what surprises me the most is that she wouldn't rather do nothing than films that don't even make it to the one dollar bin.

Faye Dunaway's filmography in the last ten years is just baffling. The Gene Generation, Say It In Russian, The Seduction of Dr. Fugazzi, Ghosts Never Sleep, Earth Ring, Balladyna? Has anyone ever seen these films? Do they even exist? Can an iconic actress like her really not get any halfway decent roles in higher

I'd love for Dexter's Lab to get some kind of coverage on the AVClub. Roundtable/Very Special Episode/Memory Wipe? One of the greatest animated shows of all time IMO.
