Speaking for myself, I saw it on Netflix, vaguely remembered someone mentioning it was worth watching, and then proceeded to binge watch it (in awe) over three or four days. Now it's one of my favorite shows and I cannot wait for the second season.

In a recent Batgirl comic, Gordon actually does become Batman… but he still wears a robotic suit.

I agree, but I still preferred the Abbi plot.

Anyone else notice the detail of the fucked up Ecco Hommo on the church wall in the tv show?

The future oval office sketch annoyed me the most. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop but it never did. The obvious joke was that all of these people were just telling Trump what he wanted to hear because they were spineless yes men who couldn't break the news that the country was actually going to crap. I totally get what you're saying, but for me, as long as the show doesn't act like it's doing groundbreaking stuff (which is not the vibe I get from the Gaffigan show), I'm ok with it just being average.

I think this is the episode with the blue crowbar named "bluey." For some reason that throwaway joke has stuck with me for years and to this day when I see a blue crowbar at a hardware store or anywhere else I have to make a comment about it.
