The original did have an incredibly dull story and same-y map, as well as the constant slog of stuff to collect. The game was great for its nemesis system and the Arkham Asylum-style brawls; maybe if they took a page from AA and compacted the map and focused on story, the new one could be worth it.

Quickly draws a featureless character with the word MEANING written on his chest.

You couldn't see it, but one of the empty seats when the lights come up actaully has a clipped toenail occupying it. A Weinstein's toenail.

I find it bafflingly un-musical. That song, as well as Bob Dylan's rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," is something I'll sing aloud alone in the car to make myself laugh.

In this edition of my webcomic, I'm a character, and I'm having trouble thinking of what to draw, which is represented by this featureless person with the big words "WRITERS BLOCK" written on his chest who's beating my head against my writer's desk while another featureless guy with the words "SELF DOUBT" on his chest

Pistol (A. Cunanan, Miami, FL. 1996) kind of tanks the entire endeavor for me.

I think We Were Dead is a good argument for post-fame Modest Mouse. It's not the same band, but it's still a good one.

Oh! And the rapping. Who told Janelle Monae to rap on every song?

I was so disappointed by Electric Lady. It definitely felt overcooked compared to Archandroid, where she managed to try on so many different genres while remaining fully and uniquely herself. The songs on Electric Lady, however, are incredibly limp. I mean, try reading the lyrics to It's Code and singing them. There's

Hey. Show some love and respect. Show some love and respect.

Honestly, I thought We Were Dead was a good argument for the slicker, bigger, post-The-OC Modest Mouse. Good News was fine, but I have no desire to revisit it, while there are a few tracks on We Were Dead I still keep in rotation.

Their scale is a bit uneven. Anything under an 8 is like a cold, limp handshake. God forbid you dip below 7.

I feel like 7.8 is Pitchfork sticking their finger between the pages of the year's Best of list. Come December, they might act like it was the best thing to happen and that they've been carrying a torch for it, but on release day they massively hedge their bets.

As much as I hate jumping on the Pitchfork Hate Train, I'm baffled by the adulation Lemonade and The Life of Pablo received.

Out of curiosity, do you have a variety of icons to use? Or even a way to leave notes for your icons? One can dream.

I guess I mean the original had people in ape costumes, with little-to-no attempt to make them overtly apelike. They walk and talk like us and live in an ersatz society with scientists and schools and museums. Apelike mannerisms are sprinkled in, but they're basically humans what look like apes. It certainly makes

I completely disagree with everything you said. He seems like a good guy who's made some godawful comedy.

If you want to depress yourself, there are reddit threads where people posit the criticisms about Family Guy getting worse after it came back are comparable to criticisms about The Simpsons getting bad once Conan left.

And I hate Seth like Seth hates himself.

Let's just say the script moved him…
