I used to really enjoy Andy's character. I don't think he was always a bad character. It's just he was the one they chose to be the boss. Once he became the boss everything I liked about him went away. They should have just made Creed or Meredith the manager.

I think it would be hilarious if for 5 seasons we assumed he was dead and it turns out no he's just a creepy groundskeeper who sleeps in a mausoleum at the cemetery because he's homeless.

Exactly. The thing about Tom is that he's not your typical zany sitcom character who is goofy that you are supposed to find endearing or hilarious.  He's really supposed to be that guy who gets on your last nerves.
