I initially (and appropriately) misread that as Sean O'anal.

That really cuts down on the interview opportunities.

John C. Wright is in the Orson Scott Card category for me - someone with odious personal beliefs who nevertheless writes some good stuff.  His prose can be almost pompous at times, and his characters are almost Randian archetypes. On the plus side, he's a solid worldbuilder and has a knack for using really crazy

The lesson there: stop paying attention to book jacket blurbs.

Actually, my first copy of The Colour of Magic (Signet, 1983 paperback) does have a glasses-wearing Twoflower.

My birthday is also this Friday, and I'm seeing the Antlers!  Have fun at the National show :)
