I saw Train performing this song on a late night talk show (think it was Letterman) and the singer struggled through the chorus every time. I started feeling bad for him and cheering for him, in an underdog sort of way, to make it through the last one and he almost did.

There are moments in your favourite TV shows where they jump the shark and you pretend they didn't, and then times when things get even zanier and you can't pretend anymore.
