Obviously Spike isn't just The Expendables on a loop. It's Cops on a loop.

I still love you The Middleman.

Too bad Black Jesus involves black people or the AV Club would have given it coverage.

I doubt they will. The AV Club doesn't care about black people.

YES! I remembered a Terry Gillam-esque cartoon, but couldn't remember the name. KaBlam! was great. Wikipedia says the co-creator/voice of Angela also created Pepper Ann and designed Fido Dido, so that's pretty cool.

I dunno. I think it'd be fun to read Rabin's review of Madea Has a Baby.

Also, how much better would a tv show called Agents of H.A.T.E. be?!

"The Captain: his name is The Captain!" is from the roll call section of the Nextwave theme song. "Last season" was referring to references to Marvel's The Captain on AoS.

Yeah, when I got to that part I went from elated (THE CAPTAIN, HIS NAME IS THE CAPTAIN!) to confused (The Captain was never mentioned last season, was he?) to heartbroken (yet ANOTHER reason to dislike HIMYM).

"he’s playing a character who was referenced many times last season and almost certainly had to show up at some point, so it’s not exactly a shock that this character exists. "

IRON EAGLE was my first thought. Then, we got around to the classy stuff. But still. IRON EAGLE.

Where's Black Jesus?

Kristen Schaal as Beta Ray Bill for Thor 3!

My first response was, "Agents of SHIELD doesn't come back until the fall." And then I thought, "oh, he means the wrestling stable. But they broke up recently and Dean Ambrose wasn't on Raw tonight." Then I did a shift-f and realized you were talking about the show The Thing was on.

Don't get me wrong, I got four out of five right in the tv category, but I was annoyed that almost every question was about an ABC Family or CW show. Not because most of the shows were aimed at teens and Dan Fienberg, but because it was such a targeted slice of television. If you didn't have a familiarity with soaps

I didn't. I'm still not sure what the significance of the Maine is. My guess would have been one of Columbus' ships.

Yeah. It's almost like the network that airs Broad City and Inside Amy Schumer and keeps signing Key & Peele for longer and longer seasons is only interested in white dudes.

Because unfortunately for you, you've contracted cancerAIDS for that firstie and the prognosis says you won't make it to the second episode.

Because it's still only one non-white person out of six people, all of whom are dudes.

To be fair, Leonard Pierce landed on his feet before he was even fired.
