Internet hyperbole 101.

Oy gevalt. A skeleton crew might very well be there, but why would anyone go guard that tunnel if a few Marines remained in the building?

It fits the universe of the show, and I don't understand the point of a comment like this in 2014 when the show's been doing this for years now.

Well, she IS 26 years old. Isn't she a woman by that point? :P

Will thinking he's a big TV star is no different from Anderson Cooper, Bill Maher, or Keith Olbermann likely thinking it. They are "stars" in some political or journalistic circles. I think the show was taking the piss out of Will by the end there. The truth is he isn't quite as impervious as he thinks.

This isn't new. It's been going on since Sports Night and The West Wing. Sorkin's writing is heavily stylized and playwrighty and you have to like, or at least respect, the style to like his shows. Agreeing with the ideas and data presented is almost besides the point. Yes, at times the characters are mere

The people who have been called pretty naive and easily entertained won't be having such a Happy Thanksgiving. They will be busy crying into their cranberry sauce.

The Game of Thrones has enough characters to populate a Tolstoy novel, so it's easy to do. In a show like this one with a main cast of less than 10 or so, it's a bit more complicated to pull off. They did it last season with Brody at least though!

Taste is relative I guess? I thought this episode was pretty great!

OK, but what did you think of THIS episode?

Yeah, but it's Facebook and Twitter, not the general audience!

Especially when he did that thing to that guy's a-ss that made his eyes tear!

Yeah, I had the same issue. In NY, The Originals and JTV air on Saturday night.

We can cherry-pick show comparisons till the cows come home, but the simple fact of the matter is that SHIELD is an action adventure show set in an established
comic-book universe that needs to be relatively family-friendly. I think SHIELD has taken more "chances" in one season than you give it credit for (character

You are comparing AOS to 2 cable shows with some of the largest ensembles out there — TONS of characters (GOT more so than TWD of course) — and one cable show in which its very premise allows it to kill off anyone it wants, because that actor will be back next season. I understand your point, and it's fair enough,

Apparently it increased viewers between last week and this week, so not completely trending down yet.

This movie's screenplay was written by the book's author. There are entire scenes between Ben Affleck's character and his sister written in such a way as to make Affleck appear sympathetic. You essentially WANT to root for Affleck and Carrie Coon. Has Fincher come out and said that he invented these scenes out of

I completely agree here. The writer of this article acknowledges that she wrote the screenplay but implies that its Fincher's fault that the movie portrays him as the "hero." Unless Fincher rewrote entire scenes to portray Ben Affleck's character in a more sympathetic light, there is only so much one can do to warp

Er, how does that demonstrate contempt for the audience? Seems almost like they accorded with the audience's desires since nobody liked him good.

I believe he helped outline the overall direction of S2 and then bailed right after.
